<DIV>Hey, I was just thinking about raid tank group formations, and I thought I'd post the question here to see how the rest of you do things.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>During a recent raid, my tank group consisted of 50 templar, 50 mystic, 50 dirge, 50 fury, 50 illusionis and me, 50 guard.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had my hp near 9000, but not quite.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A friend said a Troub in place of the illusionist would give me almost 10k</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So my question to you all is this, how do you form main tank groups to maximize hp? Are there any classes I"m forgetting? does a defiler have better or worse buffs then a mystic?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How many hp are you other raid tanks maxing out at?</DIV>

i've broke 9k in xp groups. i'm the backup tank in my guild, but with recent gear acquisitions, i'm sure that with a temp/inquis, defiler/mystic, troub/dirge, necro/conj i can break 10k. i believe the lighties do slightly better in the overall buffing. <div></div>

I am up to 9.4ish right now-- need my 2nd brd in grp but its mainly from my self buffs , 2 sta dolls, food, potions <div></div>

<P>Tonight my guild took down Derathar, and I had my hp at 9700</P> <P> </P> <P>Guardian, Templar, Dirge, Mystic, Paladin and Conjuror</P> <P>The Conjurer is key man, always put a conjurer in you MT group.</P>

I use 7 self buffs (not including commanding presence) when i go out - i'm going to guess you only use 4 probably. The other 2 you should be stacking with Braksan's Desperate Rally or Return to battle (whichever one you use) are Do or Die and Battle Tactics. Those are old and grey buffs now, but they still add a few hundred hps and all 4 of those can stack to give you an extra 1200 hps from just those 4 buffs.</DIV>

This is a few days old.. but can I get someone to ask their conj what they are doing to give so much HP? I am not getting more then like 300 hp buff from conj's, think it must be some weird buff stacking they are missing. <div></div>

I use 3 stackable hp buffs which are on the same timer - Return to Battle, Do or Die and the trait version of the buff. Typical selfbuff: Iron Conviction, Return to Battle, Call of Protection, Call to battle, Guardian's Call, Braksan's Desperat Rally (Trait upgrade to Do or Die) and Do or Die. I have 6321 with Commanding presence - but only lasts like 30 secs... Avoid: 66.6 (with SBS) Mitigation: 53.2 , sta: 164 and agi: 121. This is with Ebon Assault Axe and SBS.</P>

<DIV>The grp we use is Ber/Troub/Defiler/Temp/Guard/Coercer and my max hp so far is 10330 if they would let me boot the coercer and add a necro for 600 more hp or dirge for hp buffs i would be happy but the main healers complain bout losin the grp clarity buff :smileymad:</DIV>

Im just a lowbie level 43 but the best Ive come up with so far self buffing(inc STA buffs rings, lowbie dolls, HP food)  is 5238.  Still got some crappy T4 armor so hopefully soon I can increase those HP some.   Once ive ugprade my armor if by chance I have spare cash (doubtful in this game) ill upgrade to +12STA dolls x2.  Thats 200ish HP just from the 2 otherwise useless slots <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  The prices on my server for the +12 dolls seem way out of line...usually 1pp+ My normal group usually is Fury, Defiler and Coercer...So only with the Defiler do i get additional HP.  I think the Fury gives some but not much.  They seem to be more oriented around buffin DPS. I got a feeling after these proposed changes to Combat go in that HP are gonna be way more important than they are now <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>Swap your 50 guardian with a 50 paladin.  The paladin can add 200-300 hitpoints to you, and give you anywhere from 250-300 extra mitigation depending on what level his spell is.</DIV>

If a berserker chooses the level 20 hp trait, You can easily get 1k from one, maybe 1.1k if they have adept 3/master 1s. <div></div>
