<DIV> <DIV>Ok, I am not really sure if this should go into the newbie section or what, but I dont really consider myself a n00b. I am level 42 and know enough about the game to get me this far anyway. But I keep seeing posts about sales, broker sales, commision and all that. And I know that the broker commision is 20%, but I keep hearing about this 'fence' that the broker there charges 40% commission...where exactly is this fence? And does it contain items from both Qeynos and Freeport? As I know my broker only carries items from Qeynos based characters. If this guy exists, where can I find him? I wouldn't mind seeing some of what the other city has for sale. Thanks in advance =)</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>Always refered to these as "black market" brokers I'm not sure where the Freeport broker (selling Qeynos goods) is but the Qeynos seller of Freeport goods is located in Qeynos Harbor underneath the bridge closest to the actual docks you need to swim underneath the bridge and look for a tunnel on the right side about halfway under the bridge, follow the underwater tunnel and your there, you shouldn't need enduring breath</DIV>

Well, the Fence does exist, he sells Freeport (or Qeynos for our evil friends) merchandise. He's located in QH, if you jump in the water before you get to the dock (to the left of the statue.. kind of) and swim under the bridge, you'll find a small hole on the left side of the tunnel. Swim into it and you'll find the fence. Not the best directions, I know, but better than you had, right? <div></div>

<P>I believe you're talking about the black market. It displays everything that players have for sale of the opposite faction with that 40% commision that the broker charges. On the goodie side the broker is located in Qeynos Harbor. From the dock area head into the city part of the zone and jump into the water. There is a hole in the wall under the bridge that leads to the dock area.</P> <P>I'm not sure where he's located on the Freeport side.</P> <P> </P> <P>Wabash Cannonbal</P> <P>49 Guardian/50 Weaponsmith</P>
The fence in Freeport is on a island not far off the end of the dock with the bells in East Freeport. An easy swim. <div></div>

<P>Cant believe you went 42 levels with out knowing about the black market. I feel sorry for you if you come from Freeport, on Everforst server, the Freeport economy is like a 3rd world country economy, non exsistant.</P> <P>Taemek Frozenberg 47th Berserker<BR>16th Outfitter<BR>Everfrost Server<BR><BR>Enlightened Aonein Amillion ( retired )<BR>70th Stone Fist of The Celestial Fist<BR>Five Rings on Luclin Server</P>

If you need something that is player made, you pretty much have to get it on the fnece. Even when you can find the rare freeport made item, it is usually cheaper to pay the 40% markup to the fence to get one from qeynos than to buy from one of the idiot freeport player crafters.</DIV> <DIV>I was looking at pristine forged feyiron this morning, full set from broker WITH markup fee was about 10 gold. Couldn't even get a full set in freeport, but the 5 pieces that were for sale would have cost about 11 gold, without markup!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wonder if I could make money with a qeynos alt, running stuff across to freeport to transfer to my freeport character and resell? New class, the smuggler...</DIV>

Lots of people do that already, I believe they just use the Shared bank though. <div></div>
<div></div><blockquote><hr>Banditman wrote:Lots of people do that already, I believe they just use the Shared bank though. <div></div><hr></blockquote>You can't access your shared bank from the other city. You can have an alt there to whom you sell items for almost nothing through the fence and then do whatever you want with them (e.g. resell). It takes two accounts to minimize the risk of someone beating you to the gift.

I've thought from time to time of offering a 'fence service' where I charge 30% to buy the items from Qeynos and walk them over to FP.</span><div></div>
