This more of a plea then a complaint. The iron line was increased to be a 15 minute buff which seems like a minor change but a good one for the most part. First thought I had was why have all the 10 minute buffs and one 15 minute one? This just messes up the recasting. Instead of having to refresh them all at once we get this one odd buff to refresh at different times. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm probly just going to refresh it every 10 min anyways like I had to before this change.

I really can't think of a point to having timers on buffs at all. It just slows the group down and it's tedious. If someone can tell me why it's good I'm open to it.

Careful what we wish for. Recasting buffs as the pull comes in is a huge technique is use to build argo. I like the durations just where they are. Lazy tanks don't bother, good tanks do. To many tanks in this game atm. Groups learn to tell the difference. Embrace your recasts.

Two things...

1) The iron line of buffs produce the least amount of hate. They are a single stat increase AND self only.

2) Last I checked, the iron line doesn't stack with vengeful strike which is a taunt you use often enough during a fight with a low enough recast that the +sta it grants you is almost always up.

Message Edited by English Da Guard on 04-06-2005 02:48 PM
I think the reason they changed it is because not long ago they made self buffs 15 mins and group buffs 10 mins. I think the Iron line was overlooked as self only. At least now you will be able to tell which ones are group and which are self if you didn't already know.

The only buff that I've noticed noticable aggro with is the 30 second duration one.

Yep, group buffs generate more agro than single buffs do and the short group buffs generate even more. Buffs are also very good in getting agro in situations that involve more than one encounter as well. Buffs will create agro for anything that has engaged your group while taunts and damage tend to be encounter only. To get agro from an add to your fight, buff.
