Considering the current threads going on here in the Guardian forum I realize this one is gonna seem out of place =P but... I am currently level 39. My "left" side consists of: -Feysteel Helm (the dropped version) -Crafted Pristine Feysteel Shoulders -Crafted Pristine Feysteel Chest -Crafted Pristine Feysteel forearms -Crafted Pristine Feysteel Legs -Crafted Pristine Feyiron Gloves -Ebon Platemail Tonlets. So im on the verge of hitting level 40 and am wondering about next round of armor. When I look at the common(Fulginate) pieces they seem to have less stats(Str, Agi, etc) than my Feysteel crafted pieces. My current plan is to replace the head, hands with Fulginate since those are actually upgrades.. But what about the rest?. There is no flippen way im gonna be able to afford Ebon. I suppose AC > all but it just bugs me that when I ding level 40 im gonna essentially take some stat hits. I dont raid so getting the good armor drops is out of the question. Any decect armor quests(doable by 3-4 people) out there that would give me upgrades to those Feysteel items?

Pristine fulganate can be bought, or rubicite can be gotten from drops. Some of the rubicite cannot be worn till like level 45 or something though. At level 40 or so I replaced everything with the pristine fulginate. And then, I never really had to buy armor again, as that stuff is descent even at 50. Once you buy this last upgrade, your done buying the stuff. Keep your eyes peeled for dropped loots, and save yer money. You can finally aquire some cash, without the impending "gotta buy armor in 2 levels cause my crap is going green" hanging over your head.

Actually I believe the AC on feysteel is more until level 42. By 42 you should have journeyman boots ready to wear. Besides that it is a cruel transition from rare T4 - T5. I'd say if you don't have the cash just get Fulginate. Then replace as you find stuff. Just exp in places that drop armor pieces you want. Commander Keg in the court yard of PF for example drops nice gussets. Camp there for 2 hours ~ and you have a good chance to get a pair.

Hope I helped

Grondax Ix'Thania of the Shard

Member of Genesis on Highkeep

Level 50 guardian / Level 49 Woodworker

Server First Discovery for the Pristmatic Longsword

If I had my choice of 1 Ebon crafted piece what should it be?

Well, myself, I would hold off till this imbued procing crap stabalizes...

No sense burning that expensive rare right now, and a month from now you could get the same item with a rpoc for the same price. If I had a ebon, I would hold onto it till we see what happens with the imbuement thing.

Yeah I was ignoring the imbuement cause the only 2 armor imbuements (legs/bp) are crap imho. But I suppose there is a slight chance they will fix that...of course its SOE so i dont expect fixes or improovments =P

From experiance gussets, legs, gauntlets, feet, and helmets are easy enough to find ok drops for. That leaves shoulders and chest. It's what you want in that case. I guess you could get the shoulders and farm rats for a Shimmering Star BP *shrug*
