I've heard the Master versions of our AE taunts work on raid encounters. I cannot confirm or deny this but someone else should be able to.

Only 43 atm so haven't nabbed Protect yet... but it's BS. Can still hold epic agro (at my level anyway) by using the group buff deal, but it really doesn't make sense. They probably just didn't think it through. I'd be willing to lose the Stifle component totally to fix it *shrug*, that's just me.

For instance, Paralyzing Fear should cast its fear effect if the root portion is broken by an attack.

Is this meaning our high level group taunt will work against raid encounter in future?

If you read the description of your smothering cry, protect and retaliate you will see they have added a description where epic mobs are stated as nogo. So it is working as they inteded. I just got taunting assault, man where have this ability been all my tanking days. But can anyone confirm that this combat art like bury is limited to targeted encounter ? I have yet to see it cross over to another encounter. By the way anyone experiment with our new combat art from Bloodlines ? Looks like a 3 minut block of dying but I havent tested it. But I have a hunch that if I get in the red this baby will keep me standing when I hit zero. Its a shared tactics combat art with the beserkers every subclass tree gets one. The brawlers got a solo mob instant gib thing. The crusaders got a weak damage aoe with some damage reduction debuff buildt in. All combat arts are on a 30 minut refresh so it wont change much.

no, I call bull[expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]. working as intended my [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]. protect should land on epics as well as retaliate, tremor etc. Get the utility stifle effects unlinked from the primary effect OR [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]ING REMOVE THEM. This particular subject pisses me off to no end. It is perhaps the largest issue with how our class operates, at least on raids. I compare this subject to the one of paladins and stuns in EQ1. Stuns that pushed or dealt damage were still capable of doing both of these even if the mob was immune to the stun. I want the devs jumping on this issue and fixing every spell that has such a conflict with epic mobs. When I fight I usually raid, so this is a large percentage of my combat and its a pain in the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] whether I know how to hold aggro without it or not. I also believe our entire taunting blow line should have linked timers (taunting blow, challenge, vengeful strike, slate's). If that comes to pass you'll be screaming for protect to work on raids as well.

I have Smothering Cry at master 1 and it still doesn't work on epic mobs. Very frustrating, since it's my highest agro taunt
