<DIV>Most important resist will change according to the zone and the raid mob you are about to gank.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My personal hate has allways been getting charmed or mezzed so I used up all my choices to resist that. Time will tell if I did right or wrong as I am only 46 atm.</DIV>

Ok, thanks for input. Should of added this to my original post. What is the difference between divine - magic - mental resistances. Was a bit unclear which spells used these resistances.

My biggest weakness seems to be Magic resistance right now, but I am not clear on what attacks fall into which categories.  My biggest pet peeve is the stifle debuffs - any idea which category they fall under?</span><div></div>

Magic is just a generallization of magic with no formal property (I.e. Heat, Cold).  Where as Divine is more holy (i.e. Smite line, etc.)  Mental on the other hand is charm effects, mind debuffs, etc.  I personally think disease is the most important.  Heat, Cold, Divine, and Magic can all be cured easily because they're simply damage where as Diseases are a pain in the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to cure mid fight.  Poisons wear off so quickly they aren't even a problem.

The most important resists are likely Divine and Magic, which is why you cannot buff them with traits.  Right now resists are not very good, so I would say it doesn't really matter, however, having been hit by bugged charms that killed the whole group because we couldn't fight back led me to pump mental resists just for some littler percieved benifit it may provide.

The resists that prevent stifling are the most important in my book. If I get stifled before my taunts come out on an above average encounter, the group usually dies. I don't know which resists are used for stifles(I'm guessing it varies based on the spell used), but I'm guessing it's either magic, mental or divine.

<DIV>I have been buffing Mental resistance with traits because I hate being stunned / mezzed / stifled.  Lately in the Temple of Cazic Thule I have occasionally been getting feared tho, and wow is that irritating as well.  I don't know if that's on mental or divine, but whichever it is I wish my values were even higher than they are now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Manii Names</DIV> <DIV>- Najena</DIV>

In response to a previous poster, you can buff Divine/Magic resist with traits at level 46. <div></div>

Stifle and Fear are Mental I believe.
