<DIV>Hey, long and short of it is i'm the MT for a raiding guild, we do Cl epics, starting prismatics, etc. Anyways, our Swashbuckler has become the guild sacrifice to the metal chest gods. He dies almost every raid, which would be fine if i knew why.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He does not do the most dps in the raid, we have a warlock who opened up with about 180 dps on the same raid that the Swashy died with 120 dps. He does not overly use status debuffs or poison debuffs. He would typically use a Serrated Bone Dirk and a Ykesha. He will snag aggro at almost full power so he's not mana dumping. I use Hold the Line, Deafen Adept3, Taunting Assault, Vengeful Strike, Maim, Vindication, basically spam skills, get fed mana and spam skills. I have no clue how he takes aggro every raid.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any help in advance, great community going on here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tankzem</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 50 Guardian of Imperium</DIV> <DIV>Faydark Server</DIV>

Whenever I have asked a swash about this they tell me it is because their abilities generate hate. As for a swash pulling off you when they are full power I dunno. Were you even hitting the mob? I know a lot of raid mobs are immune to certain weapon types.

<P>Bards frequenly pull aggro not because of their DPS, but the buffs and boons they use during the fights.   Make sure your Swashy isn't using some ability that gives big bonuses to resists/hp/power/stats during the fight, because the hate generation on that is far, far greater than taunting.   Or, in your case, you might want to consider using your buffs more often, since they work like taunts.</P> <P> </P>

Its some kind of swash aggro bug, look for info about it on the swash forums. A lot of their plain old attacks make too much hate. The GOOD thing is swash get at least 2 different deaggro attacks. If they watch it, and use deaggros as SOON as they come up, they can pull a good 120 or 140 dps without peeling (me anyway, your tauntage may vary).

<P>Ahh... very interesting!    The swashes in our guild don't have this problem yet, as the guardian (me) and berserker are higher leveled.   Once we're all 50th though, it might be more obivous.   Hope they fix it by then.</P> <P> </P>
