HELP!!! Need advice on quest to become Guardian.

<DIV>Help please. Did the instanced encounter to become guardian and got smoked. Any suggestions on what "tactics" I need to defeat the gnoll leaders in the valley. The way up has a too many to handle. Any help is really appreciated.</DIV>

1- Get good food/drink.. the best you can afford. If you're eating and drinking Low/Average, you're setting yourself up to lose.2- Buff up either before you go in or at zone in.3- Pick your battles and order of battles wisely. Take it slow and easy. Kill one mob/group at a time and take a nice break between engaging each new group. The wandering pair, I took out first. There is no time limit. Pull them to a safe area and path them where you can take them on one by one.Other than that, enjoy the quest. I wish there were more solo Guardian quests like this one. Solo instanced stuff that requires a little tactics are too far and few between.

<DIV>I got my [Removed for Content] handed to me 3 times before figuring it out. The whole point of this task of defeating the creatures in the arena is to learn strategy. Think of the area as a chessboard and the creatures within as the game pieces. Hmm...I did it easily, the first time, with terrible items..Take it SLOW, only fight ONE MOB at a time, and make sure to use your buffs/hos at a constant.

<DIV>I used a bow as well to help with pulling things.  Old Gregor's bow is easy to get by quest, killing 5 hawks in forest ruins.  The important thing is not to try and kill everything, but only what you have to and when you can.  I walked up the path, killing hte guards and worked right, some more guards and then a gnoll leader and the bloodsabre, come back to the ring and the final leader will have his back to you, pull with bow shot to finish.   You have all the time in the world so any fight should be done at 100% and at a time and place of your choosing.  </DIV>

did this recently and i would reccommend LOOKING! i was able to pull just the high caster and not the rest of them. you don't have to kill everything in the zone...kill the big creatures, like the commander and the tactician, but you don't have to fight all the casters or the runts...two coppers=cup of coffee...
