the expense of keeping our gear up to date.I'm level 28 now and I'm going to hold on to my AQ gear until I hit level 30, but heck...I don't have as much saved to buy player made armor and I'm sure I'll need about 30gp to be able to replace all my gear.Item drops and coin drops really blow in EQ2 and it's very tough, at least for me, to keep money saved in bank. No, I don't do any crafting (my gaming time is limited due to RL responsibilities), so I can't really sell or make anything.Any of you have any suggestions or tips on how to get a few gold pieces saved up?Thanks.

<DIV>I solo a lot to get the gold. The lotto system is bonked so you can go hours without winning anything. You can solo and get 2 to 3 golds a hour at lvl 30.</DIV>

You can harvest, you can resell stuff off brokers.. lots of ways to earn cash.

Just take up a tradeskill. What does it matter if you spend some time crafting instead of levelling, you in a rush to ding 50? Then you'll have nothing left to do but troll the boards & wait for an expansion. Once you can have a steady stream of income from tradeskilling, you won't even notice lotto in groups being good or not.

<DIV>I am not sure whats the economy in your server but if there is more than few people that can make say fayiron armor, the prices will come down pretty fast. Also, don't always buy the armor from the maker (or his/hers merchant) you can actually get it much cheaper from players who are already replacing their player made with something else. Also keep a look out for things like Ebon BP , which in my server sells as cheap as 2gp.</DIV> <DIV>I never bought anything better than shaped forged feyiron. And now at lv32 I only have legs left that are player made. If you compare stats with say shaped and pristine the ac is the same untill the shaped caps at 36 or something. Resists and stats are matter of opinion - compare them!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, never leave a questionmark in the ground. Now that there is already 'twinks' in the game, ppl pay large sums of money for collections so they can get their 'free' 6 bubbles of exp at lv15 ... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck!</DIV>

Thanks for the advise Wulfeen.Yeah, I see quite a few crafters selling fayiron armor, so I may wait a bit before I start buying stuff. Also, I just worked on all my gathering/mining, etc, skills so I'm going to be doing more of that. Maybe I'll get lucky and get one of those 'rare' finds and that can help me also. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I also understand from other people that selling dropped items in T4 sell for 1g+ each. On my server, it's all kind of relavent. T3 dropped cash items sells for like 10-50s each. Crafted T3 sells for 50s-1.5g.T4 dropped cash items sells for like 1g. Crafted T4 sells for 3-4gish.If you want $$, tradeskilling really helps. I have kept my Adventure and TS Levels equal, and have always had enouph money for me, my wife, my monk, and the wife and I have low level gnomes war/cleric we play occasionally. At T3 we have about 50g sitting around, and we make 2-10g a day depending on how much we feel like playing for the day.

<DIV>I will agree with what is said here.. Harvest!  Regulars and rares can make you what you want.. Roots and Rocks are your calling.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I still need to get some of my harvesting up myself - but I buy enough harvests to know its good money.  As I am the only 50 provisioner in the evil city on Befallen Server I turn a good deal of coin.  Now that I have all 50th level crafted armors and jewelry its just being banked for when the market dries up in a few weeks.</DIV>

<DIV>On crushbone the economy is kinda of flooded with stuff right now (the other night we had over 1000 of stuff pages on the broker).  I try to do all of the above, solo, harvest, tradeskill and pray for drops in lotto.  I can tell you that some of the items from EL go for up to 1g at merchants and some of the Nektropos castle stuff is 3-4g to merchants and more to players.  A level 40 cleric in our guild (highest we have) said that drops from CT were bringing him home 20+g per night with no problem.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So far,  I have gotten 3 rares in harvesting, which bought me enough upgrades into 31.  I also got a shiny metalic shield from varsoons, which helped as a major upgrade for the Aegis of guardian.  Tradeskills helped me upgrade my weapons and harvesting other things pays for my food most nights.  Right now I break even, I am sure it will be harder since I am finding stuff more and more expensive.</DIV>
