Slate's Invigorating Threat - An advanced form of Taunting Challenge. As a bonus to Taunting Challenge it increases the guardian's attack speed. Replaced By: ?False, its a totally seperate attack on a seperate timer. Never replaced. Good till 50 Id imagine.

NAh look at all the other attacks. None said extra. This one did. It is EXTRA on top of taunting blow.

<DIV> <DIV>Strange that Uthros' Defiant Cry and Call to Arms buff icons will stack I have noticed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They do share the same timer but after casting Uthros about 15 or some odd seconds later you can cast Call to Arms and the icons atleast stack, I will have to check to see if it actualy adds any thing to stats or what not or if it is a bug though, any one know for sure?</DIV></DIV>
No, they do not stack the bonuses. You still just get +2 Piercing, Slashing, Crushing, and the +2 Spell Avoidance from the training skill. I was also hoping it would be more like the Mage 10 buffs, that stacked with what they supposedly upgraded. But that is not the case.

<DIV>At level 30 Seloxia's Daunting Cry is the only choice as far as I'm concerned due to the fact that our Smothering Cry doesn't work on most boss mobs - they are immune to stifle. If you don't take it you're reduced to using a very low level ae taunt on raids and other bosses for a long long time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not sure what I'm going to take at 40 though - which I should get tomorrow. We get an upgrade to Iron Will at 42, Our new Do or Die I think is at 47, Topple is eyecandy althought it doesn't get replaced untl 49 and Safeguard is something I use very rarely. If I lose aggro someone did something wrong lol. We get an upgrade to that at 48. Given that it mitigates the damage absorbed it might be useful. I'm erring towards <SPAN>Braksan's Desperate Rally though. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN>Any thoughts from higher level guardians?</SPAN></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

As a bonus to Iron Will it increases strength. It increases strenght which is unique. Strength gives us power and strenght also have an influence on our melee damage.Dont know about stacking issues but this one is a winner in my book.Granbar
<DIV>At 40th don't make mistake I did by getting Slate's (replaces Iron Conviction). Desperate Rally adds way more hps and boosts your resistance to Crush / Pierce and Slash. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Do or die upgrade is the best there, you can use it at 40.

<DIV>Slate's Protective Stance, now that we can see what spells are doing. It increases parry and defense by 7 each and seems to have no negative effects! I guess it is bugged but will be much more useful now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On an off topic note, Desperate Flurry at app 1 listed 20% haste. When upgraded to app 4 it changes to 3%! So either it is a misprint or bugged or both. I don't think I would upgrade it until it is fixed.</DIV>

<DIV>The descriptions are wrong. Moorgard has a post that says so.</DIV> <DIV><BR>What what the spell actually does to your skills. I don't have slates, so it might not have a negative component, but with our other buffs lasting 15 minutes now, slates is a waste.</DIV>

considering the massive str buffs you can get from templars/etc i wouldn't worry about strength at all.
