Ok I've made a monk and have got bored of it, so now i want to make a Gurdian. My question is, would a Ratonga make a decent Guardian? (I kinda got attached to Ratonga after making a monk ratonga)...Thanks-

<DIV>You might be weaker in the beginning but in the long run it wont make any difference.</DIV>

<DIV>It will depend on the traits and traditions you choose along the way. It would be a neat concept to play a ratonga warrior. The role-play would be endless.</DIV>

<DIV>just don't group with Kerrans. My friend gets upset when my Kerra warrior (soon to be guardian) starts chasing his ratonga brawler around saying "heeeere mousy mousy mousy!" it's sorta like watching tom and jerry...but hey...battles sorta work up the appetite!</DIV>

At what level do you think the stats would even out and catch up?

<DIV>You'll never catch up (assuming uncapped stats or it being currently impossible to hit a stat cap). And they'll never even out. They might even get bigger, in the case of a race that can choose +hp, stam, or str as a racial option.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But what changes is how much it matters. The total percentage of their hp that comes from that additional stamina will shrink as they level up and get better gear. As such, the effective hp gap, percentagewise, shrinks. Long run, it won't really matter. I've never seen people shouting that they want a tank of race X. And when people do express a racial preference in a tank, it is usually that the race be a small one, not a big, sight blocking thing like an ogre or Barb.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Additionally, being unique means you are more memorable and that can help you get groups.</DIV> <P>Message Edited by Axterix on <SPAN class=date_text>12-13-2004</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>03:40 PM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Axterix on <span class=date_text>12-13-2004</span> <span class=time_text>03:48 PM</span>
