I just wanted to say that I am lvl 22 Guardian though I have insight into the end game and Im only starting to eralize my potential I have absolutly no problem holding agro in a group.Typical group being myself, cleric, enchanter, necro or warlock, scout or zerker, another DPS class.Ive been amazed talking to other guardians in the game how many refuse to use Hold the Line because it roots you in place. It is by far the best group taunt we have, upgraded to app3 in conjunction with a few shouts you rarely get loose mobs.As a guardian I see our sole role in a group as a damage absorber other than keeping agro. I have yet to see another class out absorb hits so I think that part of our template is just fine. And as ive said above Aggro yet at least for me has not been a problem. My 2cp on those who are make sure you talk to your nukers and other DPS. Everquest always has been a strategic game, ensure your nukers arent chain nuking, your healers are being efficient and not giving unneeded hate chain healing when it isnt neccisary nor mana efficient, and make sure you DPS arent spaming their best dmg attack as fast as they can. The mechanics of aggro arent built for everyone to be spaming stuff and one guardian meant to keep aggro.Zollan

<DIV>Being able to hold aggro under the right circumstances isn't the problem. Heck, anyone with a significant aggro-catching ability can potentially hold it. The problem is that there are other classes out there, namely Berserker, that can both tank better and deal more damage. This makes the Guardian's role less vital and effectively "gimped" until balance issues are addressed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Medowin</DIV>

HO's are key to faster killing, less down time and greater exp. If people are just blindly spamming whatever abilities happesn to not be refreshing the group is never gonna be efficient at HO's. I think part of the problem is that EQ2 was insanely easy to solo form 1-25ish which meant everyone got used to doing their solo HO's and spamming specials, etc.In our case we sometimes have to "spam" taunts but since our taunts are often involved in many of the HO's..work with your priest/mage and you can time them so they heal and you Taunt/Shout/Anger, etc in conjuction with executing an HO. Also some HO's are buffs/damage shields, etc which get applied to whomever completes the HO.
