tried using Allay and Stand Firm today -

They "seem" to work but I get no message when I sucessfully block / parry for a party member. These 2 don't make the guardian take any dmg so they are useful if you are grouped with a high level / equiped tank and don't want to take any dmg due to lower mitigation. Any word on them?

It may just increase their parry skill, and not actually have you stand in the way? I dunno i've been trying to figure out the same thing, but I haven't found anyone too co-operative in helping me figure it out.

No, it definitely works. I use Allay on my friend's aggro-grabbing extraordinaire wizard all the time. He tells me as it's happening when I parry/block for him.But, yes, we should get a message for it as well.
