<DIV>I spent several gold purchasing this before realizing the Defense cap.  It's nice because it last a long time, but so does the cheaper versions.  It's better just to keep call of command up and not lose any offense.  You should hit the cap with just CoC.  In short, becareful when "investing" into Adept 3s.</DIV>

Uh there isn't a cap dude. Tell me your base Defense and defense with SS alone activated and I'll tell you what Adept 1 gives me. The + defense skills DONT STACK but there is NO CAP.

<DIV>There is a cap.  It was put in 2 patches ago.  With call of command and guardians call I hit both my offense and defense caps.  This is like 4 points above my base btw...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sodier's Stance is now useless.  Hunker down is now useless.  Some other things are useless but I can't recall which.  All my friends defense and offense buffs are now useless as well.</DIV>

things have yet again changed -I have gained a level but the amount of Defense I have with SS, CoC, and HD on has dropped by 6 pts. ***I sooo love EQ2!***

Apparently it is only worthwhile to use Call of Command and Guardian's Call - Soldier Stance and Hunker Down are useless now..Ah well, less abilities to spam.
