Last night I had the opportunity to group with a SK who has a little higher in level, so he was the MT and I backed him up. What sort of evolved was me (Guardian, duh) mostly assisting, but pulling errant mobs off priests or mages, picking up respawns midfight and most of all, "guarding" the SK.For the MT you want a class who can tank and hold aggro. That's really all you need. For an off-tank you want someone who can grab aggro FAST and multiple times, is a good meatshield and has some features that help the group further. Well, as the Guardian, I have so many taunts that if I just press a skill randomly, chances are Im gonna get aggro. Obviously Im a good meatshield. And then, when Im not doing any of that I can actually put my "class defining" arts to use. Allay, Stand Firm and such can be used to protect the MT with little to no risk to the Guardian and considerable protection.I liked being the MT, but grouping this way was so effective, it's kind of hard to justify not doing it...

<DIV>As a Berserker people have a misconception that we are light armored and unsuitable to tank, even though we too are a part of the warrior line.</DIV> <DIV>One of the best groups I was in had me as the main tank with the guardian "guarding" me. It worked VERY well for big fights, granted I switched to 1hs and a sheild and did not use many of my skills that take HP to cast, but keeping aggro is no problem as a berserker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just something to keep in mind, granted I like it when the Guardian tanks because it allows me to be more diverse, but I'm all for changing it up once in a while.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
I'm going to be kinda sad if all we end up turning out to be is a big life tap.

<DIV>Most of the other classes get something to cover too, most people just don't realize or use it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Monks get an ability to block for other players.</DIV> <DIV>Paladins get an ability to parry/riposte for other players.</DIV> <DIV>Haven't grouped with a SK so don't know about them.</DIV> <DIV>Bruisers get an ability to block for other players.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My guess is that berserker is probably the only classes without a protective skill.</DIV>
<DIV>isn't intervene a fighter skill? and we all have it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can't remember now</DIV>
