Stat building a tank from Freeport

It seems that the “tank” should be either a Troll or an Ogre as a starting figure. Do the starting figures statistics just ameliorate over time into an indistinguishable end-state? If it is a case of 2500 vs 2507, it is not a problem, but if it is done on a percentage basis it could wind up with something closer to 1500 vs 2500. I have no idea how the game apportions growth in the different types of characters (e.g., is there a set limit for each level of character which the statistics must not exceed (though some could total less over time by disproportionate adventuring) – given that basic resistances of all characters must total 14% at the beginning and racial attributes must total 100, are their similar totals for each level?)?
