Lev 20+ Shield quest.

<DIV>Particular mobs dont matter anymore. I'm pretty sure it was just a normal mob and in that case almost any mob in the zone has a chance to drop it unless it was from a named.</DIV>

<DIV>from what I have seen particular areas have their own loot tables, ie badgers, bears and wolves by Tower of Vhalen drop bows.   Across the road there are 4 spawns of gnoll groups, they have a rare'ish drop of Blackened Foot pads.  Still again if you go to Darkclaw crabs you get woven cordovan tunics.  So from my experience, the mob type does matter.  If you have this shield and can remember the mob type that it dropped from, I would be very appreciative if you would tell me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I got 2 kite shields and carb helmet both with 140ac off the human guys near the Thundering Steppes bell in Nek. Soloable at 22

<DIV>Go to the Docks, talk to the guy on the docks who is up the first set of stairs you come to. (hard to explain, basically you walk up one set to get onto the dock, then there is a set immediately to your left, the guy on the right side of those stairs gives kill tasks similiar to the guy when you first zone in, only you get alot more coin (5sp range) and you don't need to go back to him to complete it)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Steppes is a good money maker actually. Carbonite drops pretty often and there are 3 kill task guys, all of whom give kill tasks for the SAME set of mobs pretty much. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- The Dwarf when you enter gives a kill task for beetles, crabs, hawks etc.</DIV> <DIV>- Guy on the dock I explained above gives same, plus can give zombie, lions etc. I delete until I get beetles, hawks, etc.</DIV> <DIV>- Guy DIRECTLY across on other side of stairs also gives a task, reward is simliar to dwarf. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In one run you can make about 10sp total not counting drops, plus the exp between killing and turn-ins isn't too shabby either. i have been using a store bought ashwood kite shield. (155 AC at lvl 30)today i got a 180 AC ancient kite shield from named mod Hess in stormhold (also +12 health +17 power and a few other bonuses)
