Many of us remember Live Update #13 (or have slowly, quietly, repressed that memory). It may be better known as "the day combat changed forever". When LU13 hit and the combat changes took effect, the way the game was played radically changed for a great many. Some left, most adapted, a few never have. So when Scott "Gallenite" Hartsman announced a new series of combat changes, the responses were certainly varied, from quiet acceptance, to nodding affirmation, to down right terror.

Ferrel, guild leader of Iniquity of Oasis, and occassional CRgaming contributer, has penned another...well...contribution. In this article, entitled Signs and Portents, he discusses the new round of combat changed, how it may alter the game, and a glance at how these changes may be seen by, and have an effect on, the high end community. Many thanks to Ferrel for this insightful look into the upcomming changes.

Check it out!

And on a personal note, as some might have noticed, I've been absent for a while. A new job and a new apartment required me to take a bit of a leave of absence, but I'm back now, and we should all be seeing a lot new content flowing to the site.

From reading the article I see it as being the hard core raiders that he is writing his opinion about. Not a bad thing but when I was initially reading the link to the article I took "high end community" as all the LVL 68 and not just the raid only ones. Not a bad article for being about that though and makes sense mostly.

We will have to wait and see about the actual affect of the changes until at least the NDA is lifted and not probably not fully until the changes go live. I remember warden was broken for several months after LU 13.
