New icons? What could they mean?

New icon images were found along with the rest of the files which downloaded as part of Game Update 27. However, unlike most of the files, these icons seem to have nothing to do with the current game. <div></div>I've looked over all the new icons on the website, and they are very interesting.  The majority of them are obviously the symbols of the gods.  There are also the icons that you labled as for the secondary tradeskills; all but one looks to be for tinkering.  The one that looks like a rod could be either.It's the remaining ones I find most interesting.  Two of them are obviously symbols of the Rings and the Spires.  The last gray ones took me awhile, but I think I figured them out.  As you said in the Warcry forums, these symbols apply to certain areas in EQlive.  There are also seven of them, the same number of base-EQ2 zones that have either working spires or the remains of druid rings (not counting the Shattered Vale instance.)  I think those icons are for teleporting in around the base-EQ2 zones, with perhaps the icons for Faydwer zones being patched in later.  The only symbol I recognise of those gray ones is the symbol of Neriak, and of course the dark elf-controled lands of Nektulos, which also fits perfectly with my theory.<div></div>

While the even Numbers seem to be either Inactive or Passive in some way.</P> <P>As for 17 and 18, I can only think that its possably a portal activation button along the lines of a CoQ.</P> <P>on to Image 2. </P> <P>1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 19, 20 look like they are AA type Icons as they are round like the ones in your Skill Window. As they have what appears to be the gods symbols on them I would say they are the Icons for choosing(or showing your choice of) you Deity.</P> <P>As for 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11  Those are most likly the New Profession TS reactives, However I am not shure why one of the 2 has 4 while all the other Tradeskills have 3.</P> <P>12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, and 23 also look kinda like AA Icons, so my thinking is either they are part of the new AA lines or they are differant symbols for the gods. and are therefor part of the god UI.</P>

Actually, all the symbols can be found in <a href="http://www.everquest-online.com/content/images/gallery/screenshots/eq154" target=_blank>this symbol</a> ( for a better, though smaller, picture, see Jindrack's avatar icon).  It was found in several different places in EQLive, including Neriak and Mistmoore.<div></div>

As <a href="../view_profile?user.id=5050" target="_blank"><span>Coccinea_Maga</span></a> said, it's the symbol for Neriak, which is the homeland of the Dark Elves.</div>

<DIV>The 8 grey symbols are the symbols of the Gods. Innoruuk, Cazic Thule, Rallos Zek, and Quellious are particularily famous.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A few of them are for the TInkering and Transmuting tradeskills, and the rest of them are probably the new Heroic Opportunity system.</DIV>
