Profound wisdom from Brenlo ....

" I think what we often forget (..... ) is that our communities just like to see it, anyway (....) ... "

-----

This is so true! SoE does forget that WE just wanna see the cool stuff! Whether it's polished or in it's rough draft stage! We want to see what is coming up next. We like sneak peaks! We understand that some may not make the final cut, though we may not understand why, we still want to see it!

I really wish the stuff the Art Team was working on would be abit more "open" for viewing. Even with the disclaimer that images may not be added to game, it would give more people the opportunity to see that "Hey! The Art Team really is doing someting other than copy & pasting" ... Too many people just look at the surface of the world in EQ2 and don't see the rich tapestry that lies below the "acceptable" graphic limits.

Would be nice if the Art Team was allowed (?) to do little showcases of their Art on the forums or for EQ2players .. something so they can proudly say that "This was my design" "This is what I enjoy doing on the Art Side of EQ2" " This is what I hope to get added to the game" .. etc ...

*shrug* ...

Edit Add:

(forgot to mention: This podcast was the best of the bunch! It gave some "insider" info, the humor you are interjecting builds upon the "personality" of each of the community reps; helps to make you less of "cardboard" characters we gamers tend to make you guys feel like. I am hoping you all continue with the introduction of the various devs on each of the teams. Any thought to making these podcasts into transcribed versions with pictures of the devs/mods/admin & random "behind the scene views of the sound booth? - Only have to make 1 copy and just either post them to each of the games or use the station.com main page to display it.)

Message Edited by KerowynnKaotic on 08-28-2006 04:11 PM

I enjoy seeing the future before it actually exists even if it is only in a temporary state. Gives me information on whether or not I should recommend the product to a friend or just flat out drop my subscription.I'm ashamed as well that blackguard didn't immediately say that he played EQ2 as well. :'( Though, with each podcast you folks do, you are getting tremendously better at it. Actually was quite interesting to hear... (Slight suggestion though, break up the podcast so you'll have the ability to only get that specific games commentary [I skipped through the EQOA lymrick & the EQLive designer talk]. Go Go SoE Community Relations Team!

I DO play it, just not as often as I'd like to. I go through spurts of playing several hours a day until I get really busy or start traveling all over, at which point I probably only get about 10 hours in a week (unless I'm not near a computer like last week, and I can't even play at all ).

As an EQII player, two thumbs up!... Huge imrovement in the podcast since the first one and, yeah, it's good to hear you guys just chatting about the titles you all are working on.However, as a SWG player, hey, come on, we want to hear what 'our guys' have to say about stuff too y'know
