<DIV>I had been debating when to reveal this website to my EQ2 berthern but since there are a moderate amount of quests up now I believe it maybe time to reveal it.  Coming to EQ2 I have gained so much and taken so much from this community learning the nooks and little crannys of the game.  Doing so I have decided that it is time to give something back to this community. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had always hoped to own my own website so I could showcase my work on map designs for Half-Life 2 as a resume for when I go to apply for a level design job.  However the more I thought about it deep down I knew the website would be a bit empty so I decided to showcase MMO content alongside HL2 content in order to help out those that need information.  The website I have designed is for fast easy access for those that know what they need, when they need it, and how they need it at that time. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Below are some little screenshots of my website design and layout.  Unfortunately I am not a superb artist when it comes to website design so it is a bit laid back than most websites however by doing this it aids in the websites intention.  All pages will measure on average of 7-9kb with the most extreme so far being 12kb in size.  By keeping the website pages at these file sizes the pages can load much faster for those who do not have high end cable modem/DSL connections. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/4617/imagelk1.png"></DIV> <DIV>The first page you are taken to when you access the website is the news section which gives information on the newest content that has been added. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/228/image1vi2.png"></DIV> <DIV>Going through the Quest tab button you can select the MMO game name you want information on.  So far I only have information on EverQuest 2 and clicking that button takes you to the page you see above this text.  Here you can select what quest type you want information on such as Heritage, Zone, Language, etc... .  I created the Prismatic section exclusively for the prismatic weapons so people do not have to fumble around looking for the many quests involved in say the Claymore series.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/7240/image2gj6.png"></DIV> <DIV>Here is a more detailed look inside the City Quests/Writ Section of the EverQuest 2 area.  I have them sorted by level and categorized into two spots one being for Qeynos and the other being for Freeport.  When you click the appropriate link you will be sent to the information which gives it to you in a list.  You will see the name of the zone where the quest giver is, the name of the quest giver and who he/she is aligned with.  Then going down to the quests you will see them being displayed by name, quest level, zone, reward, and what the quest entails you doing.  I also have at the very top of these lists what level my character is seeing these writs since as you level up the amount of reward status decreases for writs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/4787/image3vl8.png"></DIV> <DIV>This is a different example of how I have tiered the information if there is more than one quest in a particular section.  I will put little quotes near the quest itself so if you don't understand the actual name of the quest you can refer it to a more appropriate ingame name.  A good example of this is the Heritage quest called Dragoon K'Naae of The Thexians which some people may not recognize however its more accurate name is Shiny Brass Halberd Quest which many may know. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought it would be about time to introduce my sight to my EQ2 berthern and this is it.  Welcome to <A href="http://mmodomination.com/" target=_blank>MMODomination.com</A> and its first official opening.  :smileywink:</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks guys I was wondering how to put the description of my website best but I guess I put it quite circinctly up top.  Best part is I have marketing tools to help me out seeing which pages get the most attention and if I need to update something I can.  I deffinately tip my hat off to people at ogaming.com, eq2.daily.com, and the others out there seeing how their websites work.  It is deffinately a challenge but luckly I have a system worked out right now that allows me to manage it as 1 person. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However one thing I do hope to do is later on after my site gets a bit more well known revamp it a bit so it is a little bit more unique.  :smileywink:</DIV>

<P>Your website is very well done. The only problem I have is the blue used for your links. It would work better against that green if it was less neon. It refacts in such a way as to be hard to read. Not a complaint, just an artist oberseveration. Just change the tone to one a bit more deep blue. It will stand out better and not glare.</P> <P>Any way just a thought. Otherwise VERY well done. I really like simple clean sites. Too many are cluttered with high bandwidth junk and useless animations. Keep up the good work!!</P>

Keep up the good work!!</P><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P>Sorry about the Neon blue links i'll try to see if I can do something about them.  For some reason every single link I do on that website is blue and it turns dark purple when you have visited that area.  I'll be sure to turn it down maybe making the links a bit of a dark blue or maybe a dark redish color if I can. </P> <P>Thx for the compliment about the cleanness of the site.  That is actually one thing that was on my agenda and I wanted to make sure I didn't really clutter up my website with garbage animations that wasn't really necessary.</P> <P>I'm already working on the Item Database portion of the website and have already gone ingame getting pictures for it.  Luckly by cropping only the needed image I can reduce it and probably stack it.  Again thanks for the feedback guys i'll keep updating the site when and where I can.<BR></P>

Is it the EQ2 section or when you click on the link off to the right side going to the main Quests section that your having the problem?</P> <P>I'll log on tonight and see if there is indeed a problem and if there is I will correct it thanks for the info.</P> <P>*update*</P> <P>I just checked the page and it apparently seems to be working however what maybe wrong is the color of the hyper text link.  I have tried some different techniques to fix the actual color of the link before you visit it and if you have previously visited it.  However I am having a bit of trouble locating the problem of why i'm not able to do this and once I do I will try to recolor the link.  I will also take a small picture of the EQII icon in game and past it beside the EQ2 name so you can click on the name EverQuest II or the little EQII icon. :smileywink:</P> <P>*Update Part2*</P> <P>I went in to the 2nd page and added in an icon next to the EverQuest 2 link.  I have also linked the little icon and recolored the EverQuest 2 link so that it is more distinguished as well as easier to see instead of being that neon crap color. :smileywink:</P> <P>I haven't made too many updates recently because i'm getting a bit of rest in but I am getting some things here and there for the up coming item database.  The item database won't be terribly complex but you will have to go through 3-4 links specifying what item it is your looking for.  An example of this would be choosing from the item category itself, tier of the item *aka blank, uncommon, crafted, treasured, master crafted, legendary, fabled, and mythical*, the level of the item 1-9 10-19 etc.. till you finally see the item itself.  Some will be smaller than this like Resources where you just pick tier and the level itself of the item.</P> <P>I will also be adding in small little in game pictures instead of texted descriptions of the items so you can see what the icons in game look like. :smileywink:</P><p>Message Edited by Amana on <span class=date_text>08-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:56 PM</span>
