You can fire off an email to us at [email protected] or post your comments right here!<hr></blockquote>Absolutely 100x better than the last one.  I really enjoyed this episode.  I even went and brought out my old infinity wars to read.   We also recorded a podcast tonight (will prob be out on Thur/Fri) and we talked about this one.  Personally, I really enjoy just hearing about you guys and the stuff that influences your development of the game and the decisions made that go into it.  This was an awesome example of that.  Good stuff.  And the sound was as good as it gets. 9 out of 10 (I would have gave it a 10 out of 10 had I heard the words 'ornery' and 'Moorgard' in the same sentence, instead we got 'curmudgeon' or 'cantankerous' I can't remember which exactly). -Cyan</div><p>Message Edited by Cyanbane on <span class=date_text>07-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:12 PM</span>

I like the style but I think there should be more information about the games (atleast EQ2 anyway, i stopped listening when it moved to EQOA). All I really heard was some zone names and Cloaks.  I know this is sortof a publicity thing but it would be nice if you could address the current state of class balance (is it fine? changing it or waiting until EoFAA?), maybe address the numerous threads about itemization, how you plan on keeping raids and raiders entertained (and casual players for that matter) without increasing level cap.. most of the active players are already full legendary/fabled and are curious about how you can capture our attention! thanks, can't wait until the next one. <div></div>

<P>Oh!  Feedback ..</P> <P>umm ..</P> <P>#1 - Introduction for each of the speakers need to be done abit slower and with more emphasis.  </P> <P>At least for the 1st few shows as people get used to actually Hearing your real voice(s) and not just the ones we have made up for you in our minds.  I still hear this certain Car SalesMan who tried to talk me into buy a $40K truck when I was 18yrs .. because: "I have the credit for it .. " .. uh huh ... </P> <P>Anyway, Such as [real name] other wise known as [forum name] on the [game forum] .. repeative but allows the person listening to actually absorb who this person is and their tone of voice ... and slow it down .. when you guys were introducing yourselves/others .. "you" were slurring the words together at times .. "<EM>RyanBlackguardShwayder"</EM></P> <P>#2 - While I expect nothing but "Fluff" from the Ogaming Radio show; I don't expect it from a SOE Offical show.   While I do WANT the "Fluff"!  I do want a bit more "meat & potatoes" along with my side order of bananna and cream pie!  </P> <P>Use these podcasts as an oportunity to drop some "bombshells"!   Things that we gamers will be excited to hear about, a spoiler to a quest, a piece of lore that hasn't been brought up before (like what EQ1 did I suppose but expand on it and don't crouch it in so many hints because it's for the expansion), recommendation for X-level characters (this "zone" is my fave zone to do at "X-lvl" because: ... ) / Etc ... Etc ... </P> <P>#3 - That Planetside bit was .. interesting .. reminded me of old GI Joe Cartoon/Commercials .. but I suppose those people that play that game enjoyed it.  </P> <P>#4 - Speaking of sound .. Brenlo was almost impossible to understand.  He practically whispers.  </P> <P>#5 - Can we keep the Blackguard and Moorgard "cat fighting" going on in future episodes?   Kinda like the "Odd Couple" bickering!  </P> <P>#6 - Maybe pull in the [game] Theme Music as a Segue into the next [game] disscussion?   Be nice if some one would twist the closing [game] music into the opening [game] music when switching from [game] to [game].  </P> <P>*shrug* ..</P>

Feedback, hopefully I can find something useful to say <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I know a couple of points have been said before but if it's a good point it is always worth repeating <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Musical Segues - breaking up each game into segments with a musical segue is a great Idea especially if you used some iconic peice of audio from the game about to be covered even if it as simple as the legendary "ding" for EQlive or something <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Audio levels - personally I didnt have any issues with people being quieter than others not sure if this is related to which version people downloaded or not, but I do know how hard this is to sort out.  Seems to be the bane of my life at times LOL.  The only real solution is to have a checked test run before you do the actual recording, theres funky and free software out there that allows you to check exactly what the decibel output is on audio files. The PlanetSide segment - I liked the blending the real with the game for this, this is the type of segment where I would say having a backing audio track would probably help opening with some sort of news show like fan fair.Headlines - at the top of the podcast it might be an idea to have a small segment (produced last) which has a headline for each segment so listeners know whats gonna be in the podcast.  I would be implementing these at OGR but as everyone knows when its live and you go off topic as much as we do....Secret content - this will come back to haunt you *evil grin* listeners of Online Gaming Radio will know what I mean by this very soon as I get the latest jingle on the servers <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Highlights - highlights for me were the Blackguard/Moorguard segment playing on the criticisims from the first podcast.  Even though someone said they would have appreciated a little less "fluff" from the official podcast, I actually really liked it, hearing the people behind the games we love talking a real conversation gives us an insight into who those people are and to me helps the whole "see they aren't the devil they ARE just like us" stuff.  I really liked the coverage of how people got to where they are now.<div></div>

I liked this one better than the first.  The first was very scripted and as I recall, the part specific to EQ2 was last. While I did find some of the joking around a welcome change from the first podcast, it was a bit long in places.  Seeing SOE folk are normal, fun loving humans like the rest of us is a good thing and not the evil corporate robots they are often portrayed as on the forums, but as a player the focus in these podcasts should be solidly on EQ2.As EQ2 was first after the general intro in this podcast, I didn't feel it as much, but I still think there would be some value (for players) in creating separate podcasts for the different games.  I dabble in SOE's other games from time to time and wouldn't mind something at the end letting me know briefly what's going on with the other games, but I am usually engrossed in only one of SOE's games at a time.  I would prefer to be able to get focus on my "main" game without having to listen to in-depth talk about the other games.Much better though this time.  The opening between Blackguard and Moorgard had me in hysterics! <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span><div></div>

<div></div>I really liked listening to this PodCast. It was nice to hear a little conversation between a nice group of people.I wish there had been more information on EQ2 personally, maybe some lore and such since personally it's a bit vauge. Quite a funny bit though, had me laughing the whole time. The first half was great, the second half was a bit too scripted. The Planetside section really didn't appeal to me, but I can understand the reason for it. I did like the EQ one, and the PodCast overall. It's really cool because everyone seems really passionate about the games they work on, really nice. Can't wait for the next PodCast. Keep it up guys.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Hoshinokoe on <span class=date_text>07-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:17 PM</span>

<P>Bloody typical!, new Echoes of Faydwer Rap and we only get a small seg of it.. finish that song!</P> <P>Well it was a great relief to finaly hear the new format in the way of the official SOE podcast. Definately the right choice. There is no doubt the players are now getting (although 1 way) a better feel and undrestanding of some of the key players involved in the dev of EQ2.</P> <P>Small suggestion, grab a camcorder, walk round the departments and film, chat with  the devs. Another great way for the community to see the creators of their no1 playable game.</P> <P>The podcast was kewl to listen too, I was expecting a very robotic second cast but was happy to discover that wasnt so. As you will know EQ2_Daily have a format that encompases the players being in a room with these three guys drinking pop and shooting the breeze. I think that now some of the shields are down the casual approach will not only be the way of the future but also allow the interviewers/interviewees drop a few up and coming golden nuggets.</P> <P>Ill refrain from posting to email adresses...</P> <P>Anyways guys and gals great job, look forward to the next exciting instalment of The Comic Book .erm SOE Podcast.</P> <P>Is it me or is it so evident you guys/gals really do pick up the comments and evolve for the better?..Cant wait to see what EQ2 is like in 5 years!</P> <P>Sincerely Lloki (AKA Fingle (Templaris Elite, Crushbone)</P>

<DIV> <DIV>Hello!</DIV> <DIV>First of all, 100% fantastic job to everyone involved in this current podcast thus far. I resubscribed to EQ2 partially due to the first SOE Podcast. So while scripted lines and "creepy" background music was in the first one, it still did the trick and gave me info I needed to say "<EM>wow EQ2 deserves more thought</EM>" I guess because whomever that was that spoke for EQ2 (I don't remember "who" it was) did so with a geniune sense of enthusiasm which I thought was rare among the jaded gaming community in general.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm going to post my thoughts here as I listen to the podcast by pausing after each segment to write them down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5><STRONG>Part I</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Interview with <FONT color=#ffff00>Brenlo, Blackguard and Zyphod.</FONT> Wow, funny! I did not expect that. I felt like they were genuine in their answers and good people. I was Impressed by hearing that they did infact all play EQ2 (go berserkers!), and some ran guilds (whoa) and played PnP and reading comic books like so many of us. I even went to tendeadrats.com website to read up exactly what they were refering to. <FONT color=#ffff00>Outstanding job guys.</FONT> Yes you are human and funny. <FONT color=#ff3300 size=4>Funny is good, keep it up!</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5><STRONG>Part II</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Firstly I remember <FONT color=#ff0000><STRONG>Moorguard</STRONG></FONT> from my Beta days in Eq2 before I had cancelled. I had to stop and remember (in awe) after listening to the news that he was the man behind the <FONT color=#66ff00>MOBHUNTER</FONT> eq1 website. <FONT color=#ff3300><STRONG>Wow</STRONG></FONT> I used that site to coordinate efforts to track down "bildge" i think was the name for the elusive <FONT color=#66ff00>Pearl Kedge totem</FONT> which was the poor man's equivalent to raid-gear for WIS classes. Awesome.  <FONT color=#ff3300><STRONG>that being said I hate camping mobs/spawns. </STRONG><FONT color=#ffffff>:smileyvery-happy: Kudos! I now look at Moorguard in a brighter light </FONT></FONT><FONT color=#ffff00><STRONG>*salute*</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#66cc00>Echoes of Faydwer.</FONT> <FONT color=#ffff00>Sounds very cool</FONT> and it's good to hear that dev's are investing thought into the integration. Great info presented for the expansion. At times was funny. <FONT color=#ff3300>Moorguard's intimate knowledge</FONT> of the content helped cement the idea that <FONT color=#ff3300>EoF will be a "must have"</FONT> expansion for the future. <FONT color=#ffff00>"yeah whatever" Best ending to an interview ....ever!</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ccff00>(DISCLAIMER: Self serving opinion having nothing to do with Podcast coming up. optional reading! Censor at will! :smileyvery-happy: )</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mr. Moorguard if I may be so bold in suggesting the following: As a lore enthusiast I enjoy reading about the Gods in EQ. EQII is a different game and i'm well aware of the difficulties in standardising lore when content has been written and rewritten by several people over the years sometimes overlapping and conflicting with one another (a problem which plagues other industries such as WoTC AD&D campaigns with Forgotten realms, Planescape, Dragonlance [ftw]) So perhaps setting a webpage with <FONT color=#66ff00>background / current info on each deity you plan to feature</FONT> in the expansion (basically the <FONT color=#66ff00>definitive EQII version</FONT> and quick plug for Barbarians we need Tribunal and Seventh Hammer lore thanks!)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5>Part III</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>Interview with <FONT color=#ff0000><STRONG>Saphira</STRONG></FONT> (sp?) and friends. Interesting discussion on gamer playstyles! FFVII ftw! EQ Adventures. Saphira really came across in the first podcast as truly genuine. <FONT color=#ff3300>She was excited and fun to listen to</FONT>. By the end of her scripted interview I felt like I was "missing out" by not being able to play EQA. I felt that this time around the <FONT color=#ff3300><STRONG>EQA discussion was too short</STRONG></FONT> and while it helped me learn more about the devs (good) It offered no new news about EQA (bad) I honestly enjoyed hearing Saphira speak at length about EQA in the first podcast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5>Part IV</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ccff00>Planetside</FONT> with <FONT color=#ff3300><STRONG>Zatosia</STRONG></FONT> (sp) Hmm interesting stuff. I don't play planetside but it sounds fun. However it  <FONT color=#99cc00><STRONG>honestly  sounded like a really bad commerical</STRONG></FONT> on the radio in between the songs you really want to hear. I enjoyed hearing Zatosia in the EQA portion earlier but not this scripted interview with a cyber soldier/npc. My suggestion: <FONT color=#99cc00>Cut down planetside and give that time to EQA</FONT> and Saphira so she can speak more about her game and team.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5>Part V</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Brenlo and Holly Longdale's EQ discussion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>R.A. Salvatore FTW! ow wow, Lorelady ! (read the earlier notes to Moorguard!) BTW Legends of Norrath was one of my favortite expansions. Hmm players affect the games, wow. Draken race hmm, funky.<FONT color=#ffff00> I like Brenlo's easy interview style that he brings to the house. Both dev's are easy to listen to</FONT>. Dragon lore, yes fantastic. Love listening to that stuff. Ruh roh, lv 75!  Bixies...hmm. Sounds like a great thing!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And "go make games" ending. Overall I give the second podcast an <FONT color=#ff3300>A minus</FONT>...um what is this???? Echoes of Faydwer RAP. Podcast secret ending?   <FONT color=#ffff00>hahahahahaha!!!</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ROFLMAO.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>that was <FONT color=#ff3300><STRONG>awesome.</STRONG></FONT> hehe</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00><STRONG>Good points</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <OL> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00>funny</FONT></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00>informative</FONT></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00>candid</FONT></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00>genuine</FONT></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00>out of the box</FONT></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00><U>secret ending, four stars</U></FONT></LI></OL> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00><STRONG>Bad points</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <OL> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00><EM>Planetside bad commercial</EM></FONT></LI> <LI><EM><FONT color=#ffff00>EQA segment too short</FONT></EM></LI> <LI><FONT color=#ffff00><EM>No SWG news *</EM></FONT></LI></OL> <DIV><FONT size=4>Final grade : <FONT color=#ff3300>A -</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>* I'm considering resubscribing my second Star wars Galaxies account. While I know this is a sore spot for SOE in general, and  looked at by some like some red headed stepchild I would have liked to have heard something from <FONT color=#ff0000>ROGUE 5</FONT> on what lies in the future for SWG. I was hoping something in the SOE podcast would have helped me make that leap of faith. Sure I'll go check the forums but would have been nice to hear it. A token, the principle, yadda yadda yadda.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <FONT color=#ffff00 size=6><STRONG>NICE JOB! <div></div>Glad you liked that secret ending, Lordbelgarion. We were actually trying to come up with an outro when I randomly started beatboxing (a common occurrence when I'm bored or thinking), at which point Moorgard started doing the "Echoes, Echoes... Echoes" thing and Zaphax dropped in a couple "wickies." We decided to throw that in there at the end because it made us crack up listening to ourselves. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

I don't know if this has been said before or not, but Blackguard sounds just like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_the_Eagle" target=_blank>Sam the Eagle</a>. This is all I have to contribute.
