I was unaware of the fact that you can exclude certain sites from advertising on your site. as soon as google ad site is working again i will investigate that. i've only been using google ads for 2-3 weeks so i'm a noob. I have been altering the text on my site to eliminate the word everquest as much as possible and that has decreased the amount of plat seller ads. There are more comic book site ads now then when the site was launced 3 weeks ago. </P> <P>to answer your question on just posting the pic here</P> <P>I started to do that and what i found out is the posts for the comics get loast in a sea of other posts. it becomes hard to find all of them. for anyone who just found them finding all the old ones becomes a chore. Also i like to make web pages. it just seems better to have them all in one place without necro posting to keep them around.</P> <P>as to why i have put ads on the site</P> <P>i use a free hosting site called stormpages.com. i use the free site because like most people i am a regular guy and i dont need the extra expence of having a pay site host my stuff. the reason the free site host stuff is so that they can put ads onto the html files you upload to them. if the script for google ads is already in the html their server wont add it again. not sure why but maybe it thinks their ads are already on the page. so if anyone is going to earn money on my hard work of making the site and the comics i do want it to be me and not someone else. </P> <P>i will continue to try and get rid of the plat seller ads and if what you say is possible i'll find it and get rid of them once and for all. </P> <P><BR> </P>

<DIV>Now that the google ad site is back up i was able to find the filter setup and have added the plat sites to the blocked content. hopefully in time they will go away. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

i have added 11 plat selling sites to the list of yucky sites to not show and it seems to be working. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>{giggle} It is a neverending battle, Bongo.  We use google ads as well on my sites, since donations alone weren't cutting it with regards to our costs, and we had to finally break down and ask Google to do some extra pre-filtering once we reached the max allowable blocked sites count.  (Yep, we really broke 300 plat selling and exploit sites blocked, many of them looping back to IGN).  We're now back up over 100 sites blocked again, even with the new and improved filter, but I'm finally down to only blocking one every week or two now.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

eek. [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] plat sellers!!! i was up to 18 last night and saw another one today that i will be adding. I think not having the word everquest on the site helps to limit them and now i have an idea to allow me to use the word everquest without having it spawn stupid plat selling site ads. what i plan on doing is taking a screen cap of the word everquest and use a picture of the word instead of the actual word <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> i'm so clever <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> lets see if it works.
