<DIV><STRONG>The guards all around freeport were muttering on about this new comer on the training isle. It wasnt long before the tavern occupants has made pretty much all in Freeport know of his arrival.<BR><BR>A few who had recently arrived from the island, told tales of this Curt somebody and his big mouth, challenging all to battle.<BR><BR>I grabbed my gear and hoped on the next ship going to the isle.<BR><BR>I jumped of the boat onto the beach, marched through the first door and there he was in his blood red, spiky and loud armour.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=4>I think it was obvious from my size, he wasnt going to better me easily!. Only a brief second had passed before Curty was giving me the eye whilst smacking hits bats together. I went nose to nose with him as he started the goading jibe.</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tetragramaton/Schilling/1.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=4><STRONG>He started explaining that if I wanted to have a pathetic try then all I had to do was target him and ATTACK!. Without much thought , I had taken him up on the offer and pulled my blade from its sheath whilst readying my shield. He was fast, Ill give him that, both bats swung hard to my for arms to weaken my grip. Im affraid at that point anger filled me. He wasnt going to play nice!.</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tetragramaton/Schilling/2.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=4>My shield cut through the air and connected with his upper chest sending him reeling!</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tetragramaton/Schilling/6.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=4>I called on the power of the gods as he staggered up from the floor!</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tetragramaton/Schilling/3.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=4>He barely knew what hit him, as the flat of my sword smacked his skull sideways. <DIV>Why hasn't Sony announced in the patch messages about this special event? I've been aware of the whole thing for quite a while now, but a little information on how and where to find this guy would be appreciated.</DIV>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><font face="Comic Sans MS">Great post on the play by play commentary. Really nice! <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span>I killed Curt yesterday 216 times on the Queen's Colony, and my friend got him 200 times on the Outpost of the Overlord. Was quite a blast hearing "I am tough as nails and you can't beat me" that many times. :smileytongue:Glad it is all for a good cause, I just can't wait to see what he is gonna be like as a high level encounter. I guess he'll probably pay me back for all those times I killed him. <span>:smileytongue:</span></font><div></div><p>Message Edited by TheManInTheBox on <span class=date_text>06-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:56 PM</span>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>"Cusashorn" , You can find Curt Schillin on the training islands. Basically create a new char and when you arrive on the training island you will find him through the first doorway near the wizard tower <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3></FONT></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>Thanks for the kewl comments all, and grats to all those who had some battles with Curt to help the cause <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>As mentioned earlier, are we going to see a much harder version of Curt for the players who have taken the boat to the mainland. This would be kewl, a level 65 3^^^ with an ingame reward would be nice!.</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3></FONT></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>Fingle</FONT></STRONG></DIV><p>Message Edited by LLoki on <span class=date_text>06-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:55 PM</span>

I had an enjoyable experience as well. Neat idea for SOE to incorporate into the game. Perhaps this will serve as a means of similar events in the future. While the challenge level was not necessarily the point, I can understand why more experienced players were hesitant to create a new toon.  Perhaps a higher level variation would be in order should similar fundraisers be considered? <div></div>

Nicely done! I managed to kill Curt a couple dozen times myself while we were out in New York for Good Morning America (which I'm told I appeared on for roughly 0.5 seconds, which is awesome because I am now super famous). <div></div>

You now have 14 minutes 59.5 seconds of fame left to exploit! A this rate you'll have 1,799 more .5 second appearances left before you full 15 minutes of fame runs out! Great work!

Nice post!  I'm curious about the red lines around some of the pictures of Curt though.<BR>Were they intentional to give him a cartoony look?

<P>The red lines is from targeting. There's 2 settings you can choose on targeting - either highlight the whole mob, or have outlines like seen above. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> </P> <P> </P>
