<P>That was rather funny, </P> <P>but he should have asked about troubs, if he had there would have been a long pause before one person spoke up and pointed over to the far left, and says, </P> <P>"ahhhhh yea I think there is one here, yea, look over there, </P> <P>there may be few of them around but they are easy to spot,  </P> <P>just look for the pretty music notes flying arround and the neon AFK floating above their heads,</P> <P> </P> <P>Um anyone ever figured out how they do that neon AFK thing????" and silence returns</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Coyote:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Let me first preface this with the fact that I have read through LU24's changes, and the statement that they may not even be the changes that hit test, let alone live, and that I dont see anything earth shattering among them, and overall, it looks to me to be a healthy update, short of a few things that have been declared unintended bugs, things that will be corrected soon.  A good patch, in other words.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That however does not mitigate the level of disgust I have in this Coyote missive. Divisive, ad-hominem attacks are disapponinting when they are made in RL politics, as they so often are in the current political environment.  It is appalling when those kind of tactics are brought to synthetic spaces to further divide and incense people playing games.  Describing anyone unsatisfied by any of the large sweeping changes to this game as 'whackjobs'?  Shame on you.  Of course there are people who seem to be upset at the drop of the hat.  Of course there are people who seem to be virulently upset at things that you or I see as no big deal, or even a positive change.  Exactly who do you think you are to dismiss their analysis and opinions and call them names simply because you dont share them?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You actually used a decent literary construct in your piece- the metaphor for the world ending, and your invented opponent character shamefacedly said it had ended 'once or twice, while not many people noticed'.  First off, leaving aside the despicable tactic of lumping all detractors into one comical straw man for you to argue against, that metaphor is appropriate, if inaccurate.  The world has ended at least tens of thousands of times, if not over a hundred thousand times.  The world ends from the perspective of a player when he or she is so completely fed up with how he or she sees their entertainment environment as different from how he or she was advertised that it was, was convinced that it would be, or even envisioned that it should be.  It is not for you to pass judgement on on the character of the people who make that decision.  It is not for you to declare illegitimate their concerns or grievences.  I'm glad that the way in which you have fun in this synthetic environment has been affected either generally positively and/or marginally negatively to the sum that it is still fun for you.  You however are being incredibly obtuse and myopic if you believe that this is the case for all players who may have left as a result of any of the large sweeping changes that have hit this game in the past many months.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If people's enjoyment of the game depletes to the level that they commit virtual suicide and end their existance in the world because of it, that itself makes their concern legitimate in the end analysis of the synthetic world as a business venture and a social ecosystem.  For you to make fun of people for their reasoned and valid concerns (as many have been since LU13 and earlier) in the sytle that you have, is quite offensive.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div>Well, this is a step up from "Not Funny...Ever" right?  Wow....you got a full critique.  No just a "that sucked" critique but like an amazon.com book review.  Anyways, I thought it was pretty funny myself.</div>
