<div></div><div></div>Evercast 2: An Everquest 2 Podcast goes live on iTunes Riding on the popularity of Sony Online Entertainment’s MMORPG Everquest 2, podcast and Everquest veterans Starman and Renata, whose popular podcast "World of Warcast" has reached #15 on the iTunes Arts and Entertainment list, have now started a podcast for Everquest 2. Using the same formula, helping new and seasoned players alike, the pair jump into podcasting about Norrath for the first time with helpful information and personal anectodes about playing Everquest 2. "What listeners like about our World of Warcraft show is how we don't stick to one aspect of the game in every podcast. We generally try to hit everything we can, such as how to help new players, UI issues, news, hardware reviews, add-ons, and topics for players that are close to and at the level cap. We are committed to bringing that to the Everquest 2 community since I think that the EQ2 community is the best out there for any MMORPG," says Starman. "We both have different approaches to gaming, but similar philosophies," adds Renata. "We like to think about a game, research its complexities, and find new ways of playing. Our differences give us a broad perspective, and our similarities make us a good team." Evercast 2 is distributed exclusively through iTunes using the new AAC format. Starman says about AAC: "It allows us to bring more content to the listeners, no matter how they're listening to the show. If they're listening on a Mac or PC, there could be embedded links in the podcast for the topic we're talking about so they can go right to the site we're referencing without stopping the podcast. We also put chapter stops in the podcast so listeners on home computers or iPods don't hunt around a linear podcast for something they want to get back to, or skip a topic they might not be interested in." People who prefer the MP3 format can export the cast in the MP3 format using iTunes. “With support for AAC growing every day, we see less and less complaints about not supporting MP3. In fact, we haven’t gotten one in months”, says Starman. Evercast 2 can be found at <a href="http://www.evercast2.com" target="_blank">http://www.evercast2.com</a> which also has an RSS feed. Users can also leave feedback and talk to the hosts on free forums.
