<div>Those of us who were at the Fan Faire saw a strange image in an unusual language being passed around.  We thought it had something to do with the game, but weren't sure what.  However it has been decoded, and you can find all about it <a href="http://eq2.crgaming.com" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>

Wow add in the "they trademarked the name 'Echoes of Faydwer' like 3 weeks ago" and it's all starting to come together huh?<div></div>

<div></div><div>Quite.  Add to the fact that just because a company trademarks a name doesn't mean they are necessarily developing it, but when one makes a pictogram puzzle of the fact, it tends to lend more support to it.</div>

Very true.  Add to the fact it makes very little sense to waste money to TM something you don't intend to develop although maybe you could share how you translated it.  I'm sure many are interested.<div></div>

<div></div>Has anyone figured out what the scroll said from the EQ2 Live Event after all 4 pieces of the scroll was put together?

<div></div>From what I heard, the scroll simply told you how to advance the quest and didn't have any relation to the promotional piece.  It stated something like 'collect four scrolls' or something.

<div>..how the FRELL did you figure it out so fast?!!??!</div><div> </div><div>I'm looking at it going..um..okay..squiggle...</div>

<div></div><p>It costs about $300 to file a trademark.  My old office had about....hrm...75 or so various trademarks sitting around unused, simply on the off chance it might be used one day.  It's really not that uncommon a practice at ALL to do that.</p><p>As for solving it, it's exactly as I said, many of the symobls had notches, on BOTH sides.  Count up the notches on each letter to get a number, that number relates to a letter of the alphabet (a =1, b = 2) and so on, except the last 4 letters which had literally 2 0 0 6 amount, which yielded the 2006.  I actually explained that already in the post.</p>

<div>We actually had a couple of us plopped in front of a laptop that had EQ2 installed on it, found the proper font in the proper subdirectory, and were hard at work decoding the EQ2 live quest scroll segments as they were delivered to us by the rest of the group.  My eyes were crossing by the time we were done, but it was tons of fun!</div>

It was the names of the days of the week that had us scrambling!Uhm... lets see... there's, um, Raid-day and TS-day and journal cleanup day and, uh.... What do you mean we're not allowed to look in the Prima guide you have for sale?!    lol<div></div>

<div></div>[Removed for Content] I asked them the same thing and the lady said "sure you can have 30 secs".... so we thought.... 30 secs per person of the group? Then one faithful member bought the books.

After Melime bought those books it still took a phone call to my mom <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  She was such a sport but is wondering where HER prize is.....<div></div>

<div>A laptop with wireless connnection would have worked as well as a phone call.  We found the proper calendar info by using Google, and double-checked two of the race items on EQ2Players.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>I got to watch a couple of the live event teams in action.  Last year I inadvertently answered (incorrectly, as it happened) a question for someone doing the event, so this year I maintained a somewhat diplomatic silence.  It looked like so much fun, I wished I could participate!</p><p>As far as the translations go...hmm!  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Naimi and the support side of our team were great <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I kept handing stuff to other people as soon as any NPC handed it to me because I know I drop stuff horribly. I am still a bit jazzed from all the improv I did that day *laugh*.  Ghods it felt good.  I really should go do more of that on a regular basis.<div></div>

Oh and I forgot to mention... the part of my team doing the work and not the running around mentioned that the languages used on both the puzzle and the final scroll were Feir'dal (wood elf) and the NPC wanting the translation asked that specifically, though that might have been because we had the information and not the scroll at that point (we had a relay of information before we got the hard copy relay).<div></div>

there were not only elves, it was also the homeland of dwarves and Gnomes. There were also crushbone (a place with a lot of orcs) and mistmoor ( a castle full of dark elves vampires). Please make something with ak'anon the gnome city, those clockwork robots could have been destroyed. And the king ! maybe he is alway there <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span><div></div>

Ak'anon!  I miss the tick tocks *whimper*Actually... it's kinda funny.  In EQ1, any character that I had which was not a wood elf would, like me in real life, get vertigo in Kelethin, but my wood elf would run from platform to platform, never get lost, and never get vertigo and never got vertigo in any of the other high places but would run along sure-footed without a pause (other than that character, I tend to inch up to look over high cliffs and slow waaaay down on paths which are high or edged by a cliff).  The gnome I tried felt comforted in the tick tocks of Ak'anon, but on every other character I had the incessant ticking drove me nuts (as it would in real life).  Rijacki pauses every so often in Qeynos Harbour by the clock just to feel a bit.. homey.Yes, getting to Fadwyer would be very nice.<div></div>

<DIV>So, according to what i read in an interview from one of the boss devs...they said the world has the size they wanted it to have by now, with no more landmasses being added in any coming expansion soon.....how can u expect to get a new landmass with all those dungeons? i dont think so.</DIV>
