While I agree that EQ2 is a great game with great potential, you can't give much credibility to those numbers. For example, yesterday I noticed that AC2 was in the top 7 list! Now, there is no way that could conceivably happen. I think there was also something going on where all the players of SoR were making a conscious effort to head over to mmorpg.com to up the ratings of that game.

Yeah AC2 can't possibly get on a top list, hundreds of people don't play that game, hundreds of people can't possibly like that game it must be a conspiracy. Soon game makers will force us to give their game a good rating on Mmorpg.com every month if we wish to play it. (Sarcasm btw)Overall ratings on mmorpg.com are achieved from thousands of people rating a game on 8 different things. So their ratings are usually how people feel about that game. The reason it took EQ2 so long to get into that list is because of all the problems at launch. Most of which are fixed now.

MMORPG.COM is not a good barometer of the popularity of any game. The site is heavily weighted by children which accounts for the high popularity of WoW of the site. They also have games in their list that are not even MMORPGS, like Planetside for an example. Their game critic gave 5 pages of high praise for Guild Wars, so that shows where they are coming from. He also blasted EQ2. He found it too hard to play, didn't like the graphics, and thought it was not fun. So much for MMORPG.COM.

Because i enjoy playing it.

Anything else is just whitewash on an other wise plain peice of paper.

Check what the top rated game is at ogaming.com, its all highly subjective from site to site but yes agree wiith Op for EQ2 to start climbing on such a weighted site as mmorpg.com is good news, was only a matter of time really we all know the tale of the hare and the tortoise
