If you plan on spending some additional time in Las Vegas either before or after the Fan Faire and are looking for something fun to do, Here is a short list of things to do that I have compiled over the years. (not in any particular order)

Rides, most of us love them here are a few of the more extreme ones....

The Sahara : Speed. NASCAR themed ride, 35-70 MPH in 2 seconds flat. (not bad) they also have the NASCAR cafe there.

Stratosphere: A bit pricey but fun, head up to the top of the tower and do a couple rides. I suggest doing this at night as the views of the strip are spectacular! (bring binoculars if u wanna see stuff closer up)

New York, New York : Manhattan Express rollercoaster. (this is one of the most extreme ones I have ridden)

Circus Circus: Adventure dome, Indoor theme park. About 25 bucks for an all day pass, great if kids are going.

Attractions

Fremont street experience. (Downtown, LOTS of eye candy! once again, do this at night)

Ultra Zone (laser tag) great almost any night of the week, up to 3 teams of 9 compete to 'capture the flag' or an all out battle royale where it's every person for themselves.

Circus, Circus (Yes I am adding this) If you have never been there, give it a go! It's fun. There's a midway there with all sorts of carnival games to play as well as a big top tent in the middle where they perform circus stunts ect. The most outrageous act I ever saw there was a lil wee man, Dwarven size, boxing a kangaroo, this as years ago, no idea if they still do it but it was funny!

The Elvis Museum: If your a fan of Elvis Presley, you will love this, lots of artifacts to look at.. a couple cars, a boat, motorcycle, costumes, Army stuff. theres also a small venue there in which an impersonator sings some songs, good sized gift shop etc.

Shows.

There are way too many shows to list, but here are a few that I have enjoyed over the years.

The Blue Man group (The Venetian)

Popovich Comedy Pet Theater (Planet Hollywood)

Cirque du Soleil "O" (Bellagio)

Amazing Johnathan (Planet Hollywood)

Feel free to add to this thread, I am always looking for something new to experience!

Freemont street is great, and it's easy to get to. Hop on the Deuce and it'll take you right down there. (And you can get on the Deuce to come back afterwards). Plus if you go to the other end of the Deuce line you'll go past a mall (with Fry's and a Borders) and end up at an Outlet Mall, if you're looking to do some shopping before heading home. MGM has the lions you can go visit as you're wandering around the Strip. The Mirage has the Cirque show "Love" based on the music of the Beatles. Well worth a trip.

Unfortunantly, I won't be making the trek this year but one of my favorite places to hit with friends is "The Fireside Lounge". Inside the Peppermill, right next to the Riviera at the north end of the strip.

Too Funky, Highly recomended for a quiet evening of drinks with friends!!

I think I have some pictures of years past, I'll try to locate them.

We really enjoyed Penn and Teller at the Rio. It's a great show and the tickets are not as costly as some of the others.
