I'm thinking of going, but I would want to take in some shows while I'm there. When do the events typically end on Friday and Saturday nights? Will I be missing out on something if I get tickets in advance for a 10:30pm show, or should I do shows before or after the main two nights?

Friday definitely not if you plan on going to whatever the big birthday bash is.That probably won't wrap up till around midnight. Saturday would be probably cutting it close depending on wether dinner got off on time and how long awards take and both thursday and saturday they had some computer gaming time after things that ran late at night but thats optional stuff .Your best bet if you are taking a few days besides the Fanfaire is to schedule shows then.Of the three days only Thursday is a possibility if you dont want some computer time like last year.Of course schedule may end up totally different when finalized this year.

Thursday has a Meet and Greet that genrally runs until 11pm or so, though alot of people cut out early for room parties and such. Both Friday and Saterday night events tend to run atleast until Midnight, and last year they had an "after hours" thing going on too.

Like the other poster said, I would Not plan on doing anything other then Fan Faire stuff, after about noon on Friday and Saterday... atleast if your an EQ1/EQ2/SWG player as they generally have panels from after the live quest until the 6 pm event(Smed's Address and the banquet) in Fact the evening event on Friday doesn't even start until after Smed's Address wich is usually at 6pm and runs close to 2hrs, as all the verious games also have stuff they show off... it is at the Address that all the big anouncements are made.

The Meet and Greet on Thursday is Skippable, but other then that if you want the full FF experiance, I would plan other Vegas events on other days... though mornings are generally free.

That's good info. Thanks for the tips! Looks like I should make plans to stick around for Friday and Saturday evenings then.

Try to come a day before or stay a day later to get your fill of Vegas stuff before you geek out on Fan Faire because those 3 days leave NO time to do much of anything, especially if you add in socializing with guildees and such.

I would advise doing the shows on Thur or Sun night if you can afford to get there a day early/stay an extra day. The pannels are awesome to go to and the party is a must go to! The dinner is great also, can't miss that. The first year I went I missed the dinner to go out on the town with some EQ friends and the second year I went to the dinner. The dinner is a fun event and I wouldn't want to miss it again. I guess it just depends on what you want to do in Vegas.
