Well, here I am back after almost 2 weeks (had to stay a bit longer to make the $1200 for the flight a bit more worth it) in Vegas , which were mainly inspired by this year's Fan Faire.

As this was the first time I went to a FF (it IS sort of expensive to go there as a Euro-player), I didn't have any specific expectations about what would happen.

Now after having been there this year I have to say it was well worth it!

I had so much fun there, met many really nice and friendly folks from other guilds (*waves especially at the Triality crew) and games (yeah, and 3 from my own guild I didn't know before), it was definitely a blast. The Community Team around Zatozia (especially also the localization crew *waves at Susan and Vanessa*) made us Euros feel very welcome. Brenlo definitely knows how to entertain a crowd *g. The party at that sports center was sweet indeed, the final banket was nice also (will post suggestions about what could be done even better from my PoV in another thread).

The devs I met were open minded, friendly and listened to suggestions (doesn't mean they can/will implement everything *g). They definitely showed that this is more than just "working for a paycheck" for them. Some of the propositions made for quite some time and repeated at FF (eg. powersources via tradeskill, spell rune conversion or CoA-augs slot 7/ will be coming into the game (or are already in). The new expansion looks very promising (the story is intriguing, interesting features and the graphics we saw were amazing), I really hope this will be an expansion that is fitting for the 10th anniversary EQ is celebrating while it is actual.

Resumee: I really loved this Fan Faire and if I can anyhow make it next year, I will try to cross the pond again to be there again.

Thanks to everyone who made this a really cool event!
