Went to the Hilton this weekend(7/18 - 7/20). I see that the Star trek exp is closing september 1st. So catch it now and pick up some goodies before its gone.
Thanks for the update on that. I missed stopping to see it last time I was in Vegas, I'll have to make certain to hit it up while Im in town for Fan FairAmocusConjOasisKeepers of the Oak

I went to the back stage tour on Thursday and we got the whole spill on why its going away. In the beginning Paramount had Star Trek the Experience as a seperate entity.. when they made Paramount Parks they rolled it into that umbrella. Somewhere along the line they sold Paramount Parks to another company.. and the byproduct was that the ST Experience went along with it. The new group didn't know what to do with it and they let the 10 year lease expire. The Hilton already had sold the lease to another renter so.. no matter what Star Trek is leaving that spot, along with Quarks. Its a real shame too, that drew alot of Star Trek and Science Fiction fans in general to the Hilton and Las Vegas, and I suspect that it will probably cause conventions to be held in places other than Vegas in the future. They did say that there were plans to make a new Star Trek the Experience somewhere else, which will include the content that wasn't present in this version, but thats still stetchy at this point. I hate to see it, and really glad that Fan Faire was in August this year so I was able to see it before it passed on.
