Fanfaire Newbie

Hello everyone,Just a quick question or two.  I'm not currently playing any MMO's but thoroughly enjoyed EQ/EQ2/Vanguard in the past.  I was just wondering if you think the fanfaire experience is worth it for someone who doesn't currently play one of the SoE titles or if its geared mostly towards those playing.  I imagine the panels and in game events and what not will be more appealing to someone who is looking forward to seeing certain things or playing their favorite game, but overall is there enough to do to keep a  person like me entertained outside of those type of events?  Thank ya.

<p>Last year there was , off the top of my head, a pool party, screening of Superbad and a evening at the Voodo Lounge. I guess you don't really have to play any of the games to enjoy those types of events. You might bump inot some people you used to play with. That can be a lot of fun. Kind of hard at this stage to see what kind of things SOE has lined up.</p>

<p>I think it is worth going even if you had never played the games before. Last summer I had only played the games for a few weeks by the time I got to Fan Faire and it was awesome. I guess people who are currently playing would be more excited for new in-game items because they are playing in game..... but there is a ton of other stuff to do and it is still cool to see everything coming out. My mom went last summer and she knows nothing about gaming and she had a blast. there are parties at night and soo many activities to do during the day!!! I think it is worth going <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </p>

I think with the exception of the game specific panels it would be worth while to go. Heck even some of the game panels would be interesting. Also some of the panels will most likely be for games no one is playing yet, like say Agency, Free Relms and possibly DC Universe(long shot), and game previews are always fun.
