How exactly is this working? Are the 10 or more Guild members paying full price and will be refunded after - Or is there some Purchase function we are not seeing?

IIRC, usually the guild rates are checked after the bulk of the registration is done (a week or so before Fan Faire) and if you have 10+ guildmates registered under the same guild name, you get a partial refund.

<p>This is correct. After we close registration, we will tally up the guild numbers and issue partial refunds.</p><p> See you in Vegas!</p>

I know people seeing the 50% would be more likely to book immediately as opposed to having to put together the funds. For SOE, they pay less per credit transaction, and incur no added cost of having to "refund" monies by either sending half back via credit deduction or by sending checks to players directly (Which incurs paper cost, accounting costs, etc).Something to think about for the future - Allowing Guilds to pre-register with SOE to get a special code that they then use to get the 50% discount immediately. Easier all the way around.

Well, not for all guilds it's that simple. For example I am from a Euro guild and I am unsure if we will beat the number of 10 atm (we probably will) as not everyone willing to go from over here can already guarantee being able to afford it (timeweise and/or moneywise), so for us single registration is easier.

<p>People are split up into multiple guilds for reasons, which tend to not mesh with just shoving them all together to save 45 bucks. Shouldn't have to sacrifice your guild identity to save 45 bucks, but they all raid together as a single raid force, applying the discount doesn't sound unreasonable.</p><p>To be in Infinit ties you to an additional rule which requires if your on, you raid, which is why some chose to not join Infinit. Some like their own little guilds and still have the ability to raid high end targets. A lot of the smaller guilds have guild events seperate of public, with just a few people that raid, like Truthseekers, they have approx 6 people that raid with public, but they also raid with TS.</p>

The guild name is not checked by the registration process and is something you have to type in manually. I doubt, too, that it is checked against EQ2Players (but that assumption could be wrong).I would suggest (hopefully not too late) that those in the raid association register under the association and then, when you receive your badge, add on the individual guild name yourself with a sharpie. Then you'd likely be able to get the 10+ under the same "guild name".
