I don't know if I can go, but from what I heard from several SWG players who went last year, I'd like to see these things. 1. Table for SWG players 2. SWG badges with character name and server, so players can meet up with other SWG gamers 3. Star Wars merchandise. T-shirts, mugs, artwork perhaps?

While I would like to see those things - even number 4! - I doubt that I'll be going to the Fan Faire this year

A silly one.....more chairs in the SWG seminars. Tournaments or duels in the Gaming room like some of the other games.I will keep thinking.

Not likely to catch this one unless it turns up in Florida or I land a job at SOE. Buuuuuut... things I'd like to see when I attend are: 1) Ample seating for attendees 2) Server and Mixed seating for attendees 3) Door goodies associated with Convention-like events4) Merchandise (along the lines of what Lona said along with game related products from SOE)5) Server set-ups so we can play at the Fan Faire much like Lan War in KY does6) Tournaments and games7) Informative Q&A seminars on upcoming, more concrete, game changes pertaining to most current game playIn short a gaming blast filled with fun and information regarding our favorite SOE products. And some goodies to walk away with.

In addition, some activities for families who have minors. Yes, drinking can be fun, but something that others can enjoy as well. Some ice breaker games to introduce SWG gamers to one another. I wasn't there at the last fan faire, but heard that people had a difficult time finding each other.

Well our group works alot with Lucas Film and Lucas Arts. We have taken painstaking steps to reproduce the costumes seen in the movies, and have to go that much further with them since we will be wearing them while mingling with the fans. No cheating like you can do on camera.Myself and many others in the 501st Legion have had the honor of representing Lucas in commercials, autograph sessions, stage appearences etc. So we have to look the best we can. Heck I even sound like a trooper using the FX board in my helmet. Some pics of my work can be seen here, www.myspace.com/TK229And thank you for all the nice words, the main reason i have invested my time and money into costuming is so the fans can experience them first hand, I'm just lucky enough to also be able to do it for the creator himself!!

Oh, it would seem like you guys would have to do a lot more work with the costumes since - like you said - they're actually being worn a lot (and you can't "cheat" by using a camera or special effects).

Yes a huge amount of our time is actually spent doing charity appearances around the world. We do alot of work for City of Hope, Make a Wish, Childrens Hospitals, Various Cancer groups Etc.Helping the groups raise funds just by being there means alot to us.
Having not attended one before I am not sure, but considering that I have been to the Star Wars events at WDW-MGM, I would love to see some merchandise that we could get.

Other items would be badge and break out sessions for us to have more interaction with the Developers and others in the community. Maybe those that come could get a free 30 day pass or something.

Just a thought.

Just to get back on topic.I'd like to see more Star Wars related events at Fan Faire. Last time we sat through an EQ wedding, EQ decorations, there were EQ competitions. I only play SWG and I felt kindda neglected. As Lona said, seating for the SWG'ers at the banquet Though Pex' spin on the story was great fun, having to steal other people's tables, wasn't.As for gifts last year we got a deck of EQ cards. Again.. I don't even like EQ, so the cards was used for throwing at other players :/The Q & As were good to have. I'd like to have one for the Roleplayers. (Combat, space and much else was covered.)I'd like to see a Q&A were the senators, devs and players were all there. The Senators last year (Smuggie (wookiee) senator particular) had some great questions and comments, so it was really interesting to have them there. Also, since a lot of gamers are 13-30, a lot can't (by American law) drink alcohol, so that social event saturday night was ruined for a lot of participants. I took the trip from Europe to USA last year to go to Fan Faire and I was very disappointed. Maybe if it gets a bit more interesting the next years I'll go back.

Thanks for the feedback GMadineDK. For the amount you paid to travel from Europe, an SWG table would have been nice. Let's make sure SOE community team can accommodate gamers from other SOE games.

would be happy with our own tables at banquet with Server names.. and how about some rooms set up for meet and greet by game/server... also some 'kid' friendly events.. mine have been playin since 2003 and the old FanFests were way more kid friendly... ya know they need some attention too... if ya hadn't noticed, it's the majority of the player base in the last few years... ./grin
Tig (SWG dad)

Compiled the list to:1. Banquet Tables with Server Names for players to meet friends (similar to Anaheim 2005) at a meet and greet2. SWG related events/Star Wars oriented. From the decorations to RL Events (like wedding etc).3. A swg specific "gift" (RL one)....T-shirt, mug, deck of cards, pin, patch (EQ Cards don't do much for swg exclusive players)4. Seminars to hit all areas of game play (perhaps one for all the senator areas with the current senator helping Q and A)5. Younger Players and Participants aren't always able to go into casinos, bars, social events, etc. Perhaps an alternative event for players who are not "of age".6. Merchandise that is SWG Specific: hats, mugs, t-shirts, patches, pins, laptop bags, messenger bags, as well as Star Wars memorabilia: Signed pics of movie and book personalities7. Possible fund raising opportunities for swg players to participate8. Costumes and contests. Emote contests. Live Events (again, similar to 2005)9. More chairs in the seminars so it isn't standing room only10. Ig tournaments and duels like EQII in the game room

I agree with some before me on the need to have more room. While I could not attend last years in Vegas, it appeared from the live cast of the welcome, it was a tight fit for people and all.

So on that:

- Break out discussions (round tables) with the development team is always nice, but we need to be able to also have focus discussions on each career within SWG. That means take the time to have a discussion only on Traders or Space.

- Allow for a Met and Greet with the Senators, Warders and Moderators. I think this will allow us to come together and discuss as well.

- A Troubleshooting demo session. This is best demonistrated by the issue discussions on the forums, but also the fact that we see things and interpt differently means that while the Break out session is always nice these focus ones open to anyone would also allow for focused with in game availablity to improve the discussion.

I am sure I will think of other items in time.
