Just checked in to the Rio now, and relaxing a bit trying to cool off. Been up since 0400 my time and it is now 1900 my time. :} Anyways, for people arriving, if you show up before 2PM you may have to wait a bit before your room is ready. And I'm still not sure where everything is/will be. Seems to me the Rio in general is dimmer than the HIlton was, but that may just be the areas I've been in.

Bring good walking shoes, the convention centre is a hefty hike from the room towers. Probably twice the difference I'd dare say (if it is where I think it was; there's already a convention in there so I couldn't get too close)

LOL the rain was actually quite nice. We came dow nfrom our room, saw it was raining, had a lunch at the buffet, and the rain was done when we got out. Went to Harrah's via shuttle, and with the clouds out it stayed cool enough we walked alll the way down to Planet Hollywood and from there to Hard Rock. (By the time we finished the sun was clear and the temp shot up but it made a great stroll. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )

I'm here also! Just settled in at Harrahs (Rio's sister hotel)... it was a lot cheaper than the Rio <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> About to grab some lunch/dinner and pay homage to Gamblor Then its off the Rio for check in and the welcome party!

I didn't get to go to party either :-/ but surprisenly enough I had a lot of fun just hanging out and stuff. getting to sleep early also helped with working the next day
