Hiya, i was curious to whether or not there are any age restrictions for this fan faire. Im going to be 19 by the time the fan faire is happening and we are tyring to get a small group together of about the same age range.. so 18+ to come and enjoy ourselves, and play games! Off course coming from England we dont wanna turn up and not be able to do anything, and waste money etc Can anyone help here?

I believe that the legal age for both drinking and gambling in Nevada is 21.

So other than booze and gambling you can partake of anything else Vegas has to offer... if you have the money.

I know some casinos won't even let you on the floor unless you're 21. I suggest you contact the Rio hotel and ask what their policy is for their casino and for the meeting rooms. Also, you can probably contact the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce to see what it is in general.

Harrah's (the parent company of the Rio) is very perticular about age on the floor. If you can, try and get with a couple people over 21 and don't lolly-gag around the floor and you should be fine.

Gambling is 21, Drinking is a bit trickier. It's actually legal to give a spouse under 21 drinks here, provided they are in your home or certian areas in Clark County...

Also I believe if your parent or guardian gives you a drink, that is legal, here in WI it is anyway. I stayed at the Rio when I was younger, and I got yelled at for drifting 2 feet away from my parents to look at a slot machine. But ill be in that age group, and hope to make it

The Fan Faire itself will be in various conference and meeting rooms, no gambling machines around; so you should be fine and be able to go. The only exception would be the last night party; The Vegas FF I was at had the closing party Saturday night with an open bar; I think you could still go to that event, you'd just be tagged for no alcohol.
