Ashlanne, Where and when is the SOE Fan Faire

I have to plan my vacation.  What happened to the Polls.  Please keep us more informed.  But even more please just give us a date and a place for the SOE Fan Faire. I really want to plan my vacation around or on it. So I need the date and the time of the SOE FAN FAIRE.  THANK YOU !

However .. Many in my guild really need to know soon in order to save,plan and request time off to attend FF. Soe you say that it far away and have plenty of time but we need as much time as we can get to plan. I guess this is Begging to know the info (your Begging went up, 140) But please post something in Eq live or even update announcements that there is some active thought going on here. Many feel they have been left hanging after the last active action was polls that started in July. And now are starting to feel like the topic in our guild is a waste of time or even dare I say not cared about any more as long as your Subscriptions are up and we are playing,"not my feeling but has been said in OOC in Pok" As an Officer in my guild we want to have the best experince as much as you want to create the best experince for all that attend , But to gather the whole guild takes planning and as I know even harder for SOE with all the members intrest divided, but the clock is ticking and I would hate to have many not able to go as it is too late to aggro the date from the dreaded zone of work where the Boss mob can only spawn so much time with a train to the Zoneline.</p><p>This post was meant as a Plea not a Flame Thank you all for the for the Awesome jobs you do to make this an awesome Game.</p>

Im kindof the driving force on FF in my guild also, after drumming up their support twice they are all asking me whats going on and i feel like a jerk.  Were doing our own polls now on hotels, we're just gonna have our own guild gathering in las vegas weather or not fan faire is there.  It will be the same weekend because thats what i have been driving them tword this whole time but if its somewhere else we are still gonna go to vegas as planned and read about fan faire later lol.

Ashlanne I am sorry if I afend you.  But I just need to know where we are going and when for the fan fair.  I know just be patient is what you keep saying.  1 or 2 weeks is patient.  The poll was taken for a duration of one month.  We have been now waiting for your answer for 2 months which could have been 2 re-polls.  I know what your going to say we still don't know how they hacked in the polls so we can't even re-poll.  I don't know if this is the Sony SOE forum or a Cheap Site made by a player.  I know Sony would have the money to fix this problem alot faster.  Also on the Star Wars Galaxies SOE site we have never had someone hack a poll.  Whats going on over here.  Why don't you have everyone log on the SWG site and have the poll done there.  Also Ashlanne you are not keeping in contact with us.  What are you actually doing to fix or find out who won the poll.  You tell us you will inform us but the only time you come on is to tell us to be patient if one of us writes a rude email.  Please Ashlanne, come on this site even ever third day and just tell us your still working on it is that so hard, come on. It shouldn't have to take a rude email or a whine email to have you update us even if it is to just say were still working on it.

Cool that is all I wanted to know because if we were going to have to do another poll it would be another month and 2 week probably to confirm it that would have been another 6 weeks. Thanks for atleast telling us something Ashlanne.

Which means we are already late...I can put my request in late, but if too many people have already requested those dates I am screwed..and there are other people I know in the same boat.

Ashlanne and Ocam maybe if you email or tell or pass along the information, That you are getting bombbared with emails from people who have Companies that do request you put your vacation in 6 months in advance they might hurry up.  They might not know there are companies that do make you do this, working for a fine company like Sony SOE and all.  And I assume I speak for the rest that, I am from the North East, Pennsylvania none of the location are close for me to go unless I go on my vacation. So if I can't go on my vacation I can't go and this is ture I asssume with many others so rather then have a much lower attendance please give us atleast 6 month notice if not for this year maybe do it starting the next and on if you can past this email to the highier ups so they know that would be nice thank you.

<p>I realize that this probably wouldn't work for the 2007 fan faire, but here is an idea for the 2008 one... set it up so that you can do your vote the same way that ppl are getting their sceptre of draconic calling in eq 1, although how you would manage it to allow options I have no idea; I am not a programmer. I am however, someone who is on a fixed budget, and therefore needs as much time as possible to plan to attempt to attend events like fan faire. As I have stated in an older forum regarding this, it will cost me $1000 min to get to fan faire ( this includes the room rental and return ticket only ).</p><p>Mario</p>

<p>I realize that people need to make plans to go to fan faire.  For those of you saying you need time to save money, start saving now.  The worst that happens is you have extra money saved away for something else.</p><p> Everyone needs to keep in mind that Ashlanne (unless i'm mistaken) is not a programmer, a web dev, or the fan faire organizer.  She is our communication between us and SoE.  She can no more make this faster, or make it happen then a McDonalds worker can change the drop rate of spells in Direwind.  </p><p> I have no doubt Ashlanne is well aware that we want a decision, and we want it soon, but please keep in mind that she doesn't have any control over when that decision will be made, and she's doing the best she can for us.   Ashlanne has been a great rep for us, and I hope everyone will remember that and calm down a little bit <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
