Various localities have different feelings about swords (sharp, double-edged, etc), axes, flails, crossbows (illegal in many states), etc. Please advise before anybody gets into trouble.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) Does SOE have limitations in that area?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3) How do most people get their costumes *to* the Fan Faire if they are not driving? Shipping? If so, is there an address we can ship them to (and pick them up) or should we ship to our own hotel?</DIV>

Often, the organizers will have some place we can pre-ship to and they hold for safekeeping - we pick up during registration. Just checking.</DIV>

A trifle teched inna head too, if yer know whut Oi mean.... who knows WHUT they'd do wif yer costume! <EM>*winks*</EM></P> <P>Most hotels (includin tha Hilton in Vegas) do not wanna see real weppins of tha pointy/slashy kind.  They do not seem ta object ta wooden staves/wands, an' Oi wore a plastic sword las' time (aye, tis true).  While Oi'd love ta haul me hefty war axe wif me, even Oi recognize that it is in fact a deadly weppin... especially inna hands of a Dwarf.  E'en more so if Oi have a few drinks, makin' me more accurate an' all!</P> <P>From tha FanFaire FAQ:</P> <P><STRONG><STRONG>Can I wear a costume to Fan Faire?</STRONG><BR>Of course you can wear a costume! It is not sharp.
