<p>It's really unfair that melees have to purchase ammo for their ranged autoattacks (in piles now that flurry is on it) while casters get their ranged autoattacks free.</p><p>Would really like to see a player made spell autoattack component and component bags to level the field as far as cost to generally run your character.</p><p>Just an idea.</p>

<p>yeah mages get thier 'ranged auto' for free...but thier ranged auto does like 1/20 the damage 1 of my arrows do. and that's being generous with the number.</p>

<p>Spell Weapon auto attack stats are there for mages just so they have something to reforge into stuff they need.</p><p>I like your idea, only if they actually fix the damage spell weapon auto does, or maybe they should make bows/thrown weapons not use ammo, but make them do the amount of damage that spell weapon auto does?</p><p><img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Even if a mage has all the spell weapon stats capped, it doesn't do jack for dps... Just FYI. You're looking at like 20-35k dps TOPS. Which would lower your other DPS a lot because if your spell weapon stats are maxed, that means you didnt reforge any of them into actual things that are useful (Abil Mod, Cast, Reuse, Recov, HP, Pow, or Melee stats) <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>I fully support this idea, as long as it comes with *actual* dps. 6K spell weapon dps from spell autoattack on a mage doing 300K dps doesn't actually impress anyone. I reforged everything I could INTO Spell Weapon stats on a lark. Barely broke 10K SW auto attack...</p>
