The only clue is that the camp is southern. Could we please get some more clues, such as near Cazic Thule or some landmark or mobs we can use to pinpoint it.

*edit*

Did you find it, just continue down the road and you'll see the tents and sparkly areas to place items.

I went way past a lot of camps and saw no hints to do anything. Marks on map or better information is needed.

POIs and ROIs are often one of the last elements we add to a quest, since the art and population can move around for some time after the quest is first created. This quest will have better markers, they just have not been added yet.

Spoiler loc for the forge for those in troubles:

23.57, -5.36, 500.33

Is it normal that hordes of Lizardmen are constantly spawning in the middle of the camp? Veris doesn't seem bothered by this fact at all.

They spawn on me when I enter and just disappear when I die which happened a couple of times, it's very frustrating

I've had the lizardmen spawning there too.

I just tested this Sierci and...O M G!

I walked into camp without the Merc first of all & nothing happened.

I called the Merc after a I checked around the camp to make sure it was clear, & I counted at least 10 Yellow con (I'm 92) Tsol Ew that popped up & attacked us, when the merc died I feigned death and they vanished immediately.

The denizens of this Jungle really have a thing for mercs but at least now I understand why I died.

Until this is fixed I wouldn't recommend anyone taking mercs into this camp or you'll get more then you bargained for.

ah yes, I indeed had my merc with me. It also seems that some times you get more than one spawn, but that could happen if several players with mercs are around.

I think this quest line is quite good. Just a few ideas to throw out there. I have noticed this with a lot of these quests. This expac looks so far like it could really be something. My main issue with all the dialogue is there are not clues as to where we are to go and a more focused purpose. The maps are really quirky now and that doesn't help, but witout the map as it is I would have been totally confused.

The camp where the mercs spawn the lizards is a clusterf%^$ for casual players. Experienced players just run in and spawn everything and run out after they get their update etc. Not being mean just the way it rolls when you play fast speed. So a whole bunch of the new target audience is sitting there going "what's in the devil?" I stayed around for awhile and more than 11 players in 2 hours Saturday 5PM EST said "This is Bull$^&@." It is going to be a bigger nightmare at launch. And Veris is going to be a complete clusterf___ even though the quest line is awesome. I think more focused dialogue would help alot.

Also noticed couple groups and couple solo players all getting the injured scout back to camp and they didn't have a clue who had the scout who would get the update, etc. I know one toon killed the mob and I clicked on the scout and got the update and he didn't and he was solo. It was a mistake on my part because didn't know you had to kill a mob to talk to the scout.

I have though about this all afternoon as I have spent all afternoon doing 3 quests. For the first time I am actually doing the quests and reading and not going balls to wall with my guild. I was frustrated and lost. I must stress that to me the dialogue is what seems to be off. I compare it to Thundering Steps, EoF, ect and I don't remember the dialogues being so hard to follow. I imagine that with the progression of the Norrath Universe this is getting rather complex, but I am wondering if maybe you really smart people that write the scripts might just naturally see the flow and understand it. I would never say anything to criticize, but I have played since launch and I stopped for 11 months right after Velius launched because something was off. I started playing again with Age of Discovery, but basically just going balls to the wall raiding. I have probably put in 12 maybe 14 hours on Beta, so I am not claiming to have any validity to my thoughts, but I really feel it is in the dialogue.

The story line is almost too advanced/quasi computer gamer expert like. I don't know how to put it in words, but I think I am on to something here. I love this game and I want to see it continue and excite everyone again. Maybe this might be a little help.

Thanks for listening.

Still has my old sig.... changed in profile.. lawl.. Antonina Bayle After Dark

It does seem that there is some issue with the lizardmen being present in the camp. I have not been using a Merc but someone else ran into the area and the lizardmen spawned and attaked, oddly enough at some point the other person and most of the lizards disapeared. The group I had engaged did not but the ones that weren't locked to me as well as the other player all did.

Another note when trying to place the crate I had to be much closer to the spot in order for the click to be active.

Also from the start of the quest my map has indicated 2 spots for Veris. Should probably change that so untill he moves to the southern camp you only see the northern dot then see the southern one after the move.

They definitely are not supposed to be aggroing on invisible NPCs like that, but the fix is a bit tricky and may not be in for a few patches. In the meantime, you may have to have your mercs wait outside the camp. Sorry =(

Ragnaroeker1 wrote:

I think this quest line is quite good. Just a few ideas to throw out there... etc <snipped to save thread space>

Thank you for the detailed feedback! I do find your concern about the dialog valid, but don't feel an overarching change to dialog would improve the play experience here. Prior to POI and ROI marks on the map, we had to be extra descriptive in the dialog and quest journal, which ended up giving less story and more instructions on how to actually complete the quest. Now that we have those tools available, we rely more on them to guide you to the proper location without having to spam you with additional dialog. Some quests are still missing these marks, which surely leads to them being more frustrating than they ought to be. These will all be in before the expansion goes live, however.

Some of you love reading through the stories and others don't; the great thing about POI marks is that they benefit both types of players. And while we try to describe the quest steps in as much detail as possible, we also want to immerse you in the story, and this is aided by writing more theatrically and less technically. It's not an easy balance, especially given the complex plot we've introduced with this expansion, but we're doing our best to weave an enthralling story with these quests.

That said, we are watching areas that have players frustrated, and we're trying to address those individually. The majority of these frustrations are bugs, and we're knocking those out as quickly as possible.
