<p>For reference, see my post over at EQ2 Interface: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16646" target="_blank">http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/...ead.php?t=16646</a></p><p>Even when using the Default UI, moving the Harvest Depot Window (in my case the Tinkered Personal one), it adds an additional Container_clone_## entry into the UI settings file similar to:</p><p><Window Name="Container_clone_0" alignment="1" alignment_offset="334,56" size="391,640">    <Properties clone_version="4" /> </Window> <Window Name="Container_clone_1" alignment="1" alignment_offset="-310,70" size="391,640">    <Properties clone_version="4" /> </Window></p> <p>Some of my UI settings files had 50 of these things in there. Naturally, it gets confused after so many of these and stops remembering where you last moved it to.  When I move this window it should only update the entry that is already there, not create an additional one. As far as I can tell, the Harvest Depot window is the only one that uses this file.</p><p>The UI file in question is <strong>eq2ui_inventory_container.xml </strong></p><p>-Mysstie <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>When you saying "moving," are you referring to dragging the window across the screen?</p><p>Edit: I actually can't get this to happen for me. It might have something to do with your modified version of the file </p>

Maybe it got lost in my post, but, I said this happens with the Default UI also. I changed my EQ2.INI file to: cl_ui_skinname Default cl_ui_subdir UI/ These are unmodified SoE files. When I say move it, I drag the window to a new location on the screen, leave it there, then close it so that it will re-appear in that same position the next time I view it. Every time I do this, it seems to add a new entry into the UI settings file. I can re-create it 100% of the time. I guess the next test would be to change my UI back to the default and create a new character that's never had a UI settings file created and see what happens. But, I did rename one of my toons UI files so that the game would create a completely new one and it still happened, which one would think would be the same thing as creating a new toon with no settings.

I'm really not sure why yours would be acting so strangely. I was opening and closing that harvest depot window on my own screen and watching the changes in the setting file. They seem to always just overwrite the existing lines though instead of making new ones.</p><p>If you still get this issue on a completely default UI, be sure to keep me posted <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

I did some more methodical testing.</p><p>I changed the EQ2.INI to point to the Default UI.</p><p>I deleted one of my rarely played toon's UI files.</p><p>Entered the game and clicked "Cancel" on the load settings from another toon window that appeared. Copied and Checked the XML file and it had 1 entry. I moved it to the other side and you are correct, it did over-write that entry with the new position. I zoned to another house and went back into the Planetarium and moved the depot window again. Again, it replaced that one entry.</p><p>This time I camped to desktop and made a backup of this XML file.</p><p>Went back into the game on the same toon and moved the depot window again (the same one in my Planetarium) and this is when it created a new entry. This time it created a <strong>3rd entry</strong> for the window.</p><p>Here's my UI file after moving the depot window around 3 times with a camp to desktop in-between each move:</p><p><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><UISettings time="1348606183" version="7">    <Module Name="Inventory" window_version="36">        <Window Name="Container_clone_0" alignment="6" alignment_offset="73,-101" size="350,450">            <Properties clone_version="4" />        </Window>        <Window Name="Container_clone_1" alignment="4" alignment_offset="-73,-108" size="350,450">            <Properties clone_version="4" />        </Window>        <Window Name="Container_clone_2" alignment="0" alignment_offset="58,48" size="350,450">            <Properties clone_version="4" />        </Window>    </Module>    <Module Name="Journals" window_version="36">        <Window Name="JournalsQuest" alignment="0" alignment_offset="148,89" size="710,540">            <Splitters>                <Splitter name="ActiveSplitter" value="330" />                <Splitter name="StorylineSplitter" value="320" />                <Splitter name="CompletedSplitter" value="330" />                <Splitter name="GroupSplitter" value="330" />                <Splitter name="AchievementsSplitter" value="197" />            </Splitters>            <Properties active_sort="1" active_tab="0" auto_add_collection_item="true" collection_sort="0" group_sort="1" hide_completed="false" hide_completed_medals="false" medal_sort="0" show_hidden="false" show_repeatable="true">                <QuestNode index="2563898429" open="true" sort="1" />            </Properties>        </Window>    </Module>    <Module Name="MainHUD" window_version="36">        <Window Name="MainChat_clone_0" alignment="6" alignment_offset="7,-86" backdrop_mo_o="0.8" backdrop_n_o="0" foreground_n_o="0" frame_n_o="0" size="350,163" window_style="0">            <Properties clone="0" clone_version="4" currenttab="0" version="19">                <ChatTab default_channel="say" display_id="0" filter="fff7fb07e0010000e0bebf037fc11500000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000" title="Main Chat">                    <Channel name="Level_1-9" />                    <Channel name="Inquisitor" />                    <Channel name="Auction" />                </ChatTab>                <ChatTab default_channel="say" display_id="0" filter="010000000000c0f31f000080801ee21f000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000" title="Combat" />            </Properties>        </Window>        <Window Name="Map" alignment="3" alignment_offset="-48,12" size="441,622">            <Properties zoom="1" />        </Window>        <Window Name="Map2_clone_0" alignment="2" alignment_offset="3,1" locked="true" size="257,238" visible="true">            <Properties clone_version="4" hidefog="false" maximized="false" useworldzoom="true" version="5" worldzoom="0.6">                <MapSettings alignment="0" location="541,188" mode="0" offset="541,188" size="837,703" />                <MapSettings alignment="0" location="0,0" mode="1" offset="0,0" size="1920,1080" />                <MapSettings alignment="2" location="1666,1" mode="2" offset="3,1" size="257,238" />            </Properties>        </Window>        <Window Name="Map2_clone_1" alignment="8" alignment_offset="-1,-1" size="837,703">            <Properties clone_version="4" enable_poi_filter="true" hidefog="false" maximized="false" poi_quest_type_filter="false" poi_unknown_type_filter="false" useworldzoom="false" version="5" worldzoom="0.6">                <MapSettings alignment="8" location="541,188" mode="0" offset="-1,-1" size="837,703" />                <MapSettings alignment="0" location="0,0" mode="1" offset="0,0" size="1920,1080" />                <MapSettings alignment="2" location="0,0" mode="2" offset="3,1" size="257,238" />            </Properties>        </Window>    </Module>    <ChatChannels joined="true" version="2">        <Channel index="1" name="Auction" />        <Channel index="2" name="Inquisitor" />        <Channel index="3" name="Level_1-9" />    </ChatChannels>    <VoiceChat version="0" />    <InputControlSet index="0" readcamdist="5.47" version="4210688001" /></UISettings></p><p>Now then, it does bring up the window in the last postion you moved it to; however, I suspect it's just using the highest numbered clone entry.</p>
