Hi EQ2, it's been awhile. I played from release through TSO and then took a break in search of greener pastures. I can honestly say that after playing Aion, Rift, Tera and The Secret World, none of them entertained me as much as EQ2 did and I always found myself comparing them to this game. So, maybe even for nostalgia sake, I decided to play again and am currently DLing the latest xpac. I'm not even sure if my toons still exist (they were originally on Unrest and then transfered to Kitchicor server). Regardless, I think I'm going to start a new toon and "learn" the game again. So now to my question... Does anyone have any suggestions for a good server to play on these days or better yet, any guilds out there interested in a old timer? Looking for a group of mature, casual players. Any advice on these topics would be appreciated. Not that anyone would remember me but my toons were "Copasetic" - 80 Defiler & "Avian" - 80 Brigand among many others. Thanks and hope to meet new friends in game.

Freeport and AB are the most populated, but I'd stick with your old toons, they'll still be there. By the time you've got to 92 and 280+ AA (needed to go past 90), you'll have got back to grips with how to play. I didn't start playing a watden until 75 (was my brothers), and it's not till you start grouping that you really learn how to play your class, and you won't get many groups until 90+

Kithicor has since been merged with Butcherblock. We aren't the most populated server but there's a good number of hardcore and casual raid guilds (most have a large number of non-raiders and the hardcore keep a bunch of backup raiders). If you're looking for grouping and casual raiding look up Faydarks Legion (my small, family guild) or Grenricks Guidance (if you're looking for a larger guild), we raid together casually with several others guilds if you want to join us.

Welcome back OP! It's always nice to hear from someone who appreciates and enjoys the game!

As already mentioned by Pattywak, your characters will still be available on Unrest and as you know, players will always offer you advice. I'm biased on servers because I love my play server and its community (and it's not AB or Freeport).

Incidentally, we are brainstorming ideas for returning players and refer-a-friend (again) to amp up the fun and re-entry to the game. Probably worthwhile starting a new thread on that....

J7critter wrote:

Hi EQ2, it's been awhile.
