Just built a new machine and my FPS is as terrible as ever. Doing the Moor's dock test at high quality im at 28 FPS. In raids, I have to turn everything way down to have playable framerate.. What's the deal? It's not a bad system you have there but right now the powerhouses for the game are Intel chips due to the much stronger FPU and SSE pipelines. So you may pay a little more for the better Intel chips but you can often gain 30-50% over AMD in this game (for now).

This game's FPS is like 90 percent decided by the CPU in a modern system. Let me go on to explain a few things about modern CPU's for you, the AMD CPU you are currently using has a per clock value of around 11 or 12, I forget exactly, while the newest Intel chip have about a 15. The way you calculate total CPU performance for this game is take the per clock value and multiply by the speed of your CPU. Example, 11 * 4600 = 50600, vs 15 * 3600 = 54000, showing that even a lower clocked Intel chip will give better FPS than a higher clocked AMD chip.
