yay. another ground mount that'll never see the light of day.

at this point in the game, a non flying mount will probably never be used except by people under 85, (and even then they'll probably use the Leaper mount) which there isn't an overwhelming number of as far as I've seen...or people turning it into a plushie for a house decoration.

Very nice! Hope it has kind of an iridescent sheen to it. Being "Opalescent" it should have, otherwise it kind of looks like a stone kitty.

I totaly use ground mounts. I have plently of toons below 85, and some I plan to keep there. Not everyone rushes to 92, and I don't feel like tradeskilling to unlock flight mounts for every toon.

let me put it another way. since we got flying/leaper mounts, want to know how many people I've seen not using a saliraptor/tinkered wings/SC wings/flaming pegasus/griffon/drakota mount?

0. not one person. everyone I have seen in game wether going to GM events or passing through zones is either flying or leaping or gliding.

and no one I know of 'switches' mounts around if flight doesn't work. they keep their flight mount on (usually for stats/bonuses) and just use it till they can fly again.

I have 35 mounts. and of those 35 mounts, I have SC wings in appearance, and I use the SS master collection drakota. why should I care if a ground mount can run slightly faster then me in the few places that flying isn't allowed. gee, you might make to a zone in before I do. big deal since all the zone ins that you can't fly around are group zone in so it doesn't matter who gets there first.

yay you might be a little ahead of me going through an instance. big deal.

oh gee, you make make it to a broker in Qeynos/freeport before I do.

I can appreciate the people that use ground mounts for the 'character' persona. I get that. I woudl love a flaming pegasus for that reason. (haven't gotten lucky in LoN and I'm not spending 2k+ sc to get a horse and armor set I'll never wear.)

but face the facts. the bulk of people don't use ground mounts. they use leapers and flyers and some even use those unwieldy gliders. and you get a leaper at what....30?

if your going to give out rewards. then they should notice that most people are 90-92. most people at least from what I've seen, do not use ground mounts.

give me a opalesant dragon. make a minature ridable white gorenaire, or nagafen or a mini Tilgoth stormdragon or something.

stop taking the route of 'recolored ground mount' and give me a prize that I might actually use, or be willing to pester my friends and family on facebook to 'like' the EQ2 page over.

There are many people that still use ground mounts. I currently am using the frostfell snow cloud on one toon. The brewday clover carper on another (people always comment on that one!). And I have a few toons under lvl 85... again, not everyone rushes to lvl 92.

Personally, I wish the devs would make it so that you could have a ground and a flying mount equipped and it switches to whichever one is faster.

That way I wouldn't have to pull mounts out of the mount tab and put them in my inventory so I could hotkey them. It would also let me use an appearance flying mount w/o having it also be the appearance on my ground mount. Currently if you do that, it is impossible, at a glance, to tell if you're riding your flying or ground mount.

I see plenty of players on ground mounts.

But that being said, it would be nice if any of our three accounts had received the last set of rewards before looking toward the next set.
