No image appears in the EQ2 SOEmote webcam window when I try to calibrate my image with my toon's image. Only my toon's image appears. My webcam is not on for some reason; I know this because the "Motion Eye" light at the top of my laptop monitor is off.

My webcam does work. It works with Windows Messenger. However, for some reason, when I was setting up the video in Messenger, Messenger chose as the default video device the SLIM (Sony Lucid Intergrated Mpeg) controller (listed in Device Manager under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers), not the Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC4 (listed in Device Manager under Imaging Devices). The webcam does NOT work with SLIM. So in Messenger webcam setup I had to manually select the VGP-VCC4 device, and then the Motion Eye light turned on and the webcam worked. Maybe this is what is causing the problem the EQ2 SOEmote: SLIM is being automatically selected instead of VGP-VCC4.

My Sony VAIO laptop model is running under Vista. According to the Sony instruction manual that came with the computer, the webcam is supposed to turn on as soon as the computer starts up.

Can you help? Thanks!
