I can't play my Gnome?

<p>I have had a Station Acccount for many years and I guess it finally ran out or tried to use an expired credit card or something like that. No big deal right now.</p><p>What is a big deal is now I can't play my Gnome Beastlord. It says that I don't have access to that race. Strange that it shoud lock me out of a character that I have already created and leved up to 24 over the last couple of months or so.</p><p>So I go on the marketplace to see just how much it costs to be a Gnome. Apparently unlocking Gnome will also unlock Halfling and Woodelf, two races that I have characters of that are not locked.</p><p>What gives?</p>

<p>When EverQuest II went Free-to-Play, any character that was already created was grandfathered in regardless of class or race. So, <strong>any </strong>character created before December 6, 2011 can be played on a free membership.</p><p>My guess is (considering how low level your gnome is) that you created your gnome after December 6, 2011 but you obviously purchased the Age of Destiny expansion. So you can have a Beastlord, just not the gnome. Your other characters were likely created before December 6, 2011, and were grandfathered in.</p>

<p>Almost. The cut-off date is when FtP was anounced, not when it went live. Anyway, it was before AoD and BL.</p><p>On a side note, while you can still play your "old" halfling/woodelf you can't make a new character of these races.</p>
