For four months now, I have tried and tried to subscribe for a recurring gold membership with four different cards, two credit cards, one debit, and one prepaid debit card. Each time, I recieve the error message, "your card provider does not allow this card to be used for this type of transaction." I call the card companies, they say they do, I call Account Support at SOE they say "it's not us it's them tell them to accept the $1.00 ping we send them" I call back the credit card companies, they say, "it's not us, it's them, we DO accept the $1.00 ping test".

Every single card company cannot be them, it has to be you, SOE. I thought I didnt' mind having the slight inconvience of driving to the "good Wal-mart-(30 miles away) picking up the time card, and having all the restrictions of non-recurring subscription, but I really do mind not having the full access that recurring gold memberships allow.

I am not opening a new credit or bank debit card on the off chance that it might be "them" and not "us"(SOE). I noticed today when buying SC from SOE website, you allow paypal purchases. Why can't we have paypal has an option for gold recurring memberships? I know Netflix allows this option. I know about five people in my guild have had the same issue as I have, and they too would be happy to use paypal for their recurring gold memberships.

Hello Rowan! I appreciate the feedback. I will forward this to the appropriate team. I think its a great idea myself, but the more feedback we can get, the better our chances of getting the changes everyone wants to see.

Thanks Alex. I would prefer never to have to step in a store again, and would love the paypal option. I will see if I can get more people to come here and give their feedback if it helps the powers that be decide.

I would love paypal as a subscription method as well. Once you're signed up for paypal, it's just a really handy tool to consolidate all online expenses.

I've been playing SOE games since EQ1, 2000 and would LOVE the option to have a recurring account using Paypal. I have three accounts at the moment, all only on free to play. If Paypal recurring was an option I would put at least two of my accounts on a recurring payment subscription.

Thanks for looking in on this for us.

The more players with similar feedback, the higher the chance we can get this added Thanks for being a loyal player for all these years!

Yes, I agree with this. I use Paypal for a lot of things, and it would be ideal if I could use it as a subscription payment method.

I am a European player. I don't have a credit card and am not used to needing one. Paypal is what I use most.

<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 9pt;">I would love for PayPal to be added as a payment option for subscriptions. Neither my credit card nor my Visa debit card will allow me to subscribe. Every time I try I get calls from their fraud protection people. My bank went so far as to tell me that the charges were coming from a source known for fraudulent charges.

Paypal lover here too.

When my sub runs out in december i was thinking of just leaving it at that.

walmart cards, and credit cards are not my cup of tea.

Paypal on the other hand would work just fine, since paypal takes care of it's customers. At least in my experience.

+1 for paypal..

+10 for bringing SC payment back.
