The Hacks are too rampant, and the people running the game do not seem to care.

Nagafen is Dead...Long live Nagafen.

We do not seem to have these issues at max level. Alot of what people scream are "hacks" in channel are related to basic lag issues that anyone playing on the server for any decent amount of time understand. Getting killed quickly is not a hack - it typically means their is a gear differential to overcome.

Someone out running you is not a hack - they disengaged and broke combat before you did. It means they understand the mechanics better than you. Also, even if you disengage if you have an active debuff on your opponent your not actually disengaged (cripping arrow comes to mind as a ranger - that will keep you in combat while they get away.) thus they will break before you. Knowlege is not a hack.

I rolled up a low lvl toon awhile ago to sit in a few t4 WF and saw none of the "hacks." What I did see is alot of whining that so and so could not kill some bozo so they must be hacking. Hacking is generally very specific, very noticable and repeated types of behavior. Watch them, learn them and they are very killable. If you see it report it via a /petition and it will be investigated. This whine thread does the server no justice. Nagafen, for all its real faults, has alot more to offer the community than general blue server play.

I think my favorite whine has to be, "I'm tired of getting one shotted in pvp!!"

What is your pvp crit mit at?

"76.4"

*sigh*

There have been a few real hacks i have seen, but the one that has happened most recent, happened twice after I was engaged by the same player...only after I become engaged, my computer starts to beep and my mouse freaks out where I can not control it...only happened when fighting the same person...

I pvp a lot and this has not happened before, and has not happened since because I have not seen this player out again...if I do, and I engage, I bet it will happen again.

The lag issue in ant wf is another hack and is definitely not a merc issue...only seems to happen when certain players are getting owned, then the zone starts to lag horribly.

That's the thing, I do not die a lot...I have excellent pvp records on my toons and have an over-the-top pc setup for this game.

So, when my computer starts to make beeping sounds and my mouse icon starts blinking constantly and can not be moved, then I know it's something else...and the fact that it only happened when I fought this one guy, 2 seperate times, is to me, a clear example of someone using a hack...

The only confirmed hack I faced was on a 90 BG game (where MOST of the hacks are anyways)

Basicly, me (sk full BG geared) and a necro friend tried to kill a wizard fully BG geared. I tried to land Harm Touch on him after debuffing him and he ''resisted'' an unresistable spell lol. Necro tried lifeburn and both of us were casting like mad. He didn't took any dmg at all, not even 1% hp down. He then one-shotted both of us (nuking me through Divine Aura ftw). After the BG game, reported him to a GM. They banned him for 2 weeks (they of course never tells you about their disciplinary actions). Why I know that he got banned? The guy sent me rage cross-server mails crying and threatening me because he got banned, 2 weeks after I reported him (and after GM anwser).

Besides that, nothing ''omg'' hack-wise. I noticed that their is a LOT less speed hack since Ganak is worthless.

So that leads on the idea a certain player figured out a way to slam all there ca's into one button and make them instant.

After tonight's most recent Ant wf, CAN ANYONE, WHO ATTENDED, TELL ME THEY WERE NOT DISSAPOINTED???...and do not try to tell me this a was a Merc lag situation...someone, using third-party software, killed the zone.

Anyone doing the Ant WF normally will realise that the zone crashes right before there is a win...not at start or during...'RIGHT BEFORE A TEAM WOULD WIN."

Fix your pety game SOE, or call it quits for pvp...
