I'm experiencing some weird Amends issues.. Whenever someone puts boon of the damned, or converge on me (warlock/Wiz buff) my aggro flies everywhere.

Its like watching a game of pong.. the aggro goes from one, to next, to back again, and to a completely new target.

I know by watching my aggro alone, if there is a wizard or warlock in my group. And I look at my buffs, and see the boon/converge.. When I remove it, tell the sorcerer not to cast it again on me, and I recast Amends on my amends target, ALL issues dissappear.. It has been like this for years for me..

And I assure you.. its not just a fluke, or coincidence.. I've worked around this for years with telling the sorcs to not put this buff on me, and every time is the same. Aggro goes from "pong" to solid..

No1 in the paladin community (eq2flames) experience the same kind of issues.. Yet I do.

Its said that this was an issue fixed back pre-TSO, but why is it still bugging out like this for me?

Any1 else experienced the "pong" aggro without understanding why the aggro is bouncing on and off even if u had amends on the highest dps?

I personally like to solve these kinda problems myself, So i'll just give you two hints.

What is the hate transfer cap? Hint 1

And what happens to the hate if you over cap? Where does it go? Hint 2

Good luck man.

Let me guess.

You put amends on the wizard.

Then the wizard put his transfer on you.

I'll leave it to you to figure out what happens when you try to apply transfers both ways between the same 2 players...

Next time, put your amends on the wizard and have him put his transfer on the healer.

Hint 2

All transfers get normalized so that the total is 50%.

Now, if the few percent you might go over the cap with amends + boon/converge cause the mobs to ping-pong and it's not a bug, you got serious dps issues. As in the dps classes are doing over 50 times your dps. If it is a bug, and boon/converge overwrite amends instead of stacking with it, it would explain the entire situation. Except for the part where no other paladin seems to have that issue.

It might be an idea to do some controlled testing. Just you and the wizard or warlock. Put amends on them, have them put boon/converge on you. Pull something with your weakest taunt but don't attack it all besides that. Then have them try to pull agro. If they can without using positionals, there is a bug. Assuming you got your amends at 46% and they got their transfer at at least 4%.

Even though the buff isn't canceled, the only transfer that works is B to A, or more poinantly, the last one cast. This bug has been in the game since, I dunno, amends was created. Orriginally you only ran into it between a pally and a swash, but so many transfers / siphons added since then.

But will test with just a wizard in group.. maybe I can get it confirmed by doing so..
